Nice to find a bargain, when Trace, in Austin's W Hotel is charging $120 for a Penner-Asch (spelling?) Pinot Noir. A little one note, but probably the best bargain on the wine list ( other than Gruet Sparkling Rose at $44!). Nice dried berries, chocolate, a hint of licorice. OTOH, the local Waterloo gin is a really nice floral gin. Lavender. Makes for a nice, if different, martini. — 8 years ago

Youthful in spite of the the touch of age . Bright, nutty, freshly spiced. Excitedly effervescent. Delicious; wish I had hung on to the bottle a bit longer...long life ahead! — 10 years ago
Velvet, friendly tannins, cherries, slight vanilla and soft at the end — 11 years ago

Our first champagne and favorite champagne. Drank it with a Cajun spicy meal and it was incredible. — 12 years ago
Really awesome wine for the price point and just in general — 8 years ago
Flinty, lemony, bitter. Good bubbly but a bit harsh for my taste compared with a Veueve Cliqout, Oregon’s Argyle, or even a much less expensive Gruet. — 8 years ago
