This is a very nice and balanced Rosé. Mineral driven front with nice weight. Strawberry and a hint of herb occurring early on the palate. Not too sweet or tart. The wine sort of thins out in the middle which definitely helps it to complement a wide variety of foods. This bottle was served with escargot, stuffed chicken, and herbed/grilled salmon and did a wonderful job of complementing all three. Finishes with gripping acidity when consumed alone..... we had to slow it down or else the bottle was going to be gone before the food came out! — 7 years ago
Stunning wine, gorgeous nose, rich texture finishing with bright lemony acidity, perfect with a plate of escargot in puff pastry. — 7 years ago
Anniversary meal escargot, tenderloin & asparagus with great friends — 9 years ago
Enjoyed at La Crepe Nannou with fondue, escargot, and onion soup. Paired great. Excellent structure, nice citrus and stone fruit, good body. Drinks nicely now but clearly has great aging potential. Will leave our other bottle in the cellar for awhile. — 9 years ago
5/2021. Nice wine. Medium bodied, balanced and nice on the palate. Paired well with the beef tartar and escargot at Black Rooster. — 4 years ago
Light straw in color with a light golden hue.
Fruity nose citrus, lemons green apples, limes, white grapefruits, minerals, light grass, and white pepper.
Light to medium in body, crisp refreshing and smooth, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with grapefruits, green apples, white pepper, minerals, spices, herbs, light tropical fruits, pineapple and lemon juice.
Long finish with limes.
This is a wonderful aged white from the Loire Valley. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing great complexity and a great mouthfeel.
This 21 year old is nicely balanced and so so good. Still crisp and engaging.
Way better after 30 minutes of airtime. What a great evolution on this wine. Right out of the bottle it is unbalanced with gooseberries (cat's pee) nose, which disappears. After an hour, flowers like jasmine come in on the nose.
I paired it with a few appetizers escargot, smoked fish and tuna tartar.

This bottle of Abreu was perhaps the heaviest bottle of wine I’ve ever had. I’m going to keep it in my house for protection. Such an impressive wine overflowing with rich weighty goodness. Dark fruit profile and smooth silky tannins. Plus I got Briana to try and enjoy both escargot and foie gras. Success. — 8 years ago
Rich Chablis, hint of oak, minerality. Pairs beautifully with escargot. — 9 years ago
Decelle villa Mersault 2013.
Strong sense of oak, butter, cream. Very weak fruit aroma but hint of golden apricot on the nose. Med p body, med p acid, med p intensity, round, long, complex finish with lime, hint of butter and structure finish. Drunk with escargot, lillet. Structured, food wine. Need roasted chicken with mashed potato. — 9 years ago
10/2020. Great wine and price point. 100% Gamay. Bold flavor and finish. Paired well with the escargot at Black Rooster. — 5 years ago
A bit spicy but so fire with escargot as an app. Had my last glass with the scallops also 😋 — 5 years ago
Drinking well now. Give it some time to open but pairs well with muscles, steak frites, and escargot. Holds up. Nice finish. Classic French. Would buy again. — 7 years ago
Light but not simple. Hints of cranberry up front with anise on the finish and raspberry throughout. Silky smooth mouthfeel. A great find for our traditional Bourgogne meal of oeuf meurette, escargot, boeuf Bourgogne. — 7 years ago
Paired with a crab salad, scallops, goat cheese and escargot with Lauren, Dale and Tara! Delightful. — 8 years ago
In 375. Shows great with escargot tonight! — 9 years ago
Intense aromas of Yellow apple, candied lemon rind, hint of honey, yellow flower.very well blended aroma. Rich texture(comparing to other chablis),med plus acidity, citrus orange, hint of mineral, structure on end, med plus finish with delicate floral aromas. Drunk with classic escargot, duck breast, cheese and sorbet. This wine is all about balance- fruit, structure, non fruit character all remain on this wine. None of those stand out but they create another level of finesse. 13% abv — 9 years ago

Wha wha weeee waaah. Teleportation straight back to burgundy - escargot under the clock tower, lunch on a bike ride of the country. Beast. Doesn’t get much better. — 3 years ago
