Sweet to start and tart at the finish. Mainly tastes of grapefruit, passion fruit, and grass. Soft, rounded texture. There's more complexity and bigger flavor if you let it sit out a bit, but not too long because then it loses the crisp finish. #vinebox — 10 years ago
Super interesting. My first white Bordeaux. Herbaceous. Grass. Grapefruit, but not bitter. Very different from whites I usually drink. — 11 years ago
Unbelievable, a bright styled Sav Blanc with peach and lemon grass. I think this is my favorite Sav Blac out of the US, going to get a case next. — 11 years ago
Mineral grass and bright citrus. Great way to kick off a weekend — 11 years ago
2012. Similar to the other Greywacke SBs. Grapefruit, grass and a wild rice character. — 11 years ago
Yes that's crab behind. — 12 years ago
Yellow to almost green-yellow in color, good clarity. Grass, floral, and honey crisp apple on the nose, apricot and slightly mineral on the palate with crisp acidity. — 10 years ago
Very pale yellow, almost devoid of color. The nose is bright and alive with ripe honeydew melon, green fig, citrus zest, alfalfa sprouts, and fresh grapefruit juice. Gorgeous flavors come in waves; tangerine, citrus oils, lime, lemon zest, lemongrass, cara cara orange, white grapefruit. The acidity is literally laser focused, like the edge of a perfectly sharpened chef's knife. Minerality comes towards the end; clean, white river stones, granite. Hints of wheat grass and radish mix with wet stones on the long lingering finish. This will get even better over the next 5 years. One of the last wines from the true Jedi Master of Sauvignon Blanc. — 10 years ago

Love this one. Smells like grass and peppers. It tastes like pineapples, and maybe some hay from the old barnyard. — 11 years ago
Pronounced intensity, with aromas of green bell pepper, asparagus, apricot, and freshly cut grass. On the palate, lychee, grapefruit, lemon, and bell pepper with a long finish. — 13 years ago
Medium body and acidity. Not as "crisp" as many NZ SBs. Grass, green pepper, lime, minerals, and ocean air. #houseofpurevin — 10 years ago
Loads of flavor, bright acidity. Nice mineralogy and touch of grass — 10 years ago
2014 vintage! This is a perfect example of what a NZ Sauvignon blanc should smell and taste like.... Grass and jalepeno! — 11 years ago
Scents of grass, complex lemony flavor. Delicious!! — 11 years ago
Grapefruit and grass — 11 years ago
2008, Francois Cotat, Les Monts Damnes Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc. Brought this one back from France in 2011. Has aged well, no signs of oxidation and is still vibrant with lots of citrus. Screaming acidity, med alcohol and a long finish. Lots of grapefruit, lemon zest with a little orange blossom, white pepper and fresh cut grass. A little minerality on the finish. Need to find a 2011.

Really nice wine surprised it was blended with Chardonnay (I think 15%) fresh herbal aromas cut grass — 10 years ago
