Unique hoppy aromatic profile on Arianna Occhipinti’s SP68 Bianco. It could be a west coast IPA - initially mosaic hops and grapefruit, then slowly creeping wild flowers, apricots, coriander, and exotic orange spice. Lean with good acid. The native blend (Moscato di Alessandria and Albanello) sees two weeks of skin contact. Flavors are savory floral - spicy citrus, jasmine tea, and chamomile. It’s a terrific beery wine, and though I sometimes don’t like that blurred profile, this one sings. — 8 years ago
Tart with a lot of grapefruit. Enjoyable. — 8 years ago
What a wine.. 😁 there's just nothing like unfiltered, unfined, and unhinged Sauvignon Blanc. It's like my love for German Hefeweizen - hazy, but all of the flavor that Bevan would just lose if he wanted a star bright wine.. looks aren't everything. All the main indicators of SB, and much more - lemon grass, grapefruit reduction, unpasteurized clover honey, white peppercorn, vanilla, Meyer lemon, and white pear. Juicy acidity, intense and inviting florals, and fun to look at in the glass. 2016 is a great year for Bevan SB. — 9 years ago

Citrus, grapefruit, sweet but refreshing. — 12 years ago
Tasted blind. Light gold color. Exotic nose. Notes of citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, lemongrass, cut green apples and a little pineapple. Goes great with the cheese and snacks we have. I’m immediately in Sancerre world with my guess. Very mineral in it’s mouth feel, lots of acidity. I guess Cotat as the producer. This is a fun wine, and really well made. — 5 years ago

Classy, refined NZ SB. Light on the grapefruit and lemongrass, peach pit and stone fruit dominate. Zippy acidity and Flint. I'm 91 on this. — 11 years ago

Nice, fresh and vibrant Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand. Gooseberry (reminded me of growing up on the farm at home) and hints of subdued grapefruit. Beautiful light gold color, crystal clear. Not from Marlborough on the northern end of the South Island but Martinborough on the North Island. Very interesting region that grows all their grapes on a strip of 3-4 miles long and 1-2 miles wide raised tectonic plate of alluvial gravel. Pinot noir is king in this region, but this Sauvignon blanc was also very nice. — 5 years ago
