Smooth, cherry, a bit of earth. Nice finish and complexity for a drinkable wine — 2 years ago
Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Welschriesling blend. Tropical fruits, intense herbs, minerality and a lot of oak! Tastes almost like resin. Powerful. — 4 years ago
Raspberry jam and grapefruit! — 4 years ago
Just under a 9.0 because Zweigelt is not my favorite varietal. That said, this is the best of many Zweigelts in the CHF 20 price range that I have tried. Nice depth compared to many others. Kind of like, when in Austria, I would totally order this wine at a restaurant! — 5 years ago
2015. Lighter body, spicy, cherry, great QPR for a 1.0 L bottle. Went really well with a Moroccan Lamb Pasty that has chick peas, spinach, and dried cherries. — 5 years ago
fresh vintage is drinking deliciously. a bit more weight and depth, but ash and forest berries with typical Burgenland mineralogy still predominates. — 6 years ago
Tschida the 🐐back it again. Straight juice. — 6 years ago
Unique flavor profile: honey, elderflower, apricot, and wet stone. Weighty but still soft and delicate, lifted and aromatic. — 3 years ago
Sour cherry and chambord, with a twiggy backbone. Very Austrian, very blaufrankishy! — 4 years ago
More elegant side of Blaufränkisch. Lacks the spice of Württemberg versions but instead shows a hard, flinty core that reminds of good Chambolle. Needed about an hour of air to open up. Great foresty nose. — 4 years ago
Slight touch of brett. Added to the wine as the fruit was still present. Was a great one. — 5 years ago
Delicious and inexpensive blaufränkisch!! — 6 years ago
St. Laurent is my new favorite red varietal. This one is super juicy and a pleasure to sip. Similar to Pinot, but a little rougher around the edges. Recommend! 11€ — 6 years ago

The grand finale! Dad brought this. I tasted apricot and agave. Tasting notes were marmalade and barley sugar. I can’t say I could pin “barley sugar” but I am stashing that descriptor for future tastings 🤪 — 2 years ago
