This was a Chardonnay, or got it during my visit to Glen Ellen in 2005 with Barry. The wine stored since 11 years still tasted fabulous, young fruits, beautiful finish on the palette. Soft nutty after ysstes. Lovely yellow golden color. — 8 years ago

For an inexpensive cab, this is exceptional value. Big, full bodies, wonderful fruit nose. Displays classic cab characteristics. Smooth all the way, balanced with huge blackberry and vanilla and tapering finish. Tasted against Glen Ellen and Naked Grape cabs and was top pick by the tasters. — 9 years ago

Jordan Kivel Stadt and the "Rent" have been experimenting and making some amazingly brilliant wines over in Sonoma (Glen Ellen)! Following many of the true southern French styles and techniques. He not only bottles them, but puts many on his 'wine on tap' system, that pours out at the exact temperature by varietal (my pet peeve). Wonderful White with good acidity and fuit balance. — 9 years ago

What an extraordinarily youthful wine for a 1978. Tastes initially like an 8 year old wine. Balanced tannins. Rich nose and palate and moderately long finish. Black currents and earth. Lovely, and has many more years to go. — 10 years ago
