Very nice showing in a difficult, hot vintage from which many wines are already over the hill. — 5 years ago

Full palate, luscious, tropical, banana, lemon curd. Vibrant. Great value. — 9 years ago
Beautiful citrus notes with just a hint of herbaceousness. Beautiful balance and acidity. Really true example of a good Sancerre! — 9 years ago

Great cork & freshness, needs air to fully evaluate,
K&L notes as follows
This property was a Bill Blatch favorite-and as usual I have never visited the property which is located in Begadan. Château Vieux Robin is a family owned Cru Bourgeois estate located in Begadan at the far north of the Médoc. 5th generation owners Maryse and Didier Robin have made huge strides in terms of quality since they took over in 1988. Didier Robin, who learnt his trade at Château Clarke, is a skilled winemaker and now produces 4 different cuvées of ascending quality. There are only 18 hectares of vines and Vieux Robin is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Old school Bordeaux with 12% alcohol. Over 20 years old and still lively and fresh. No fancy oak here-just good Merlot and Cabernet.

Trying to drink these old ones to fit the Austin Hope cases @Rob Brobst III sold me
Paul T, Missing My Beautiful Wife 24/7
If you hold it long enough Austin Hope will be the first GELIFIED Bottle,The aromatics on this are powerful and complex. Florals, dark berries and savory components. This is generous and rewarding in youth. A beautiful example of savory/briny character accented by rich red fruit. Structured and textured. This shows great complexity, but also inviting freshness. Absolutely great. Social Distance wine #5 — 6 years ago
100% Roussanne.
Nose...If I ever had a white that I could tell you was "oily" this is that wine. Caramelized honey, pear, guava and wet clay.
Palate is hazelnut butter, macerated pear, over-ripe apricot. F...this is an amazing bottle, I don't happen across Roussanne like this everyday, or like ever! — 8 years ago

Nice acidity and green apple — 8 years ago
Outstanding old vine Chablis that is "village" level but drinks like a premier cru. Decant for one hour. A SommSelect choice. $27. Wow. — 9 years ago
Pleasant. Nice nose, but short finish. — 9 years ago

2013 silky perfection drinking fab in 2025. All the leathery, smoky, BBQ, peppery blackcurrant one can have in a glass. Every taste brings something new. So smooth and wonderful — 9 months ago
