Time for objective reporting. I hate smoky but I recognize balance and complexity as much as I recognize a lot of people (hello mezcal and scotch lovers!) are into smoky. This is smoked cherry pie. Not for me but if I dug smoke I’d drink the heckums out of it gosh darn it. Ergo I give it a huge thumbs up and will never drink it again myself. But I bet YOU will. — 6 years ago
Delicious medium bodied--highly recommend. — 7 years ago
Rich black fruit, strawberry, dried cherry and slight toasty vanilla. Deep, balanced incredibly long finish for the rosso. Moderate tannins. Aged in French bariques. Love this one -- tasted with the winemaker (ettore) at the villa. Unique terroir in this part of Montalcino: Highest elevation (350m), micro climate with sea breeze and calcareous lime/ rocky mix. — 7 years ago

The fruit was quite vibrant! Paired nicely with poached egg in Parmesan cream. — 5 years ago
Cedar bark, black cherry, forest berries and clay. Soft mouthfeel, creamy, red berries and licorice... transitions into bright acidity before tobacco and dark fruits on the finish. Solid length and complexity, bright fruit with rustic charm. Stainless ferment then 12 months in barrique. Food wine - paired with blackened, cedar smoked salmon. — 6 years ago
I don’t typically like Italian wine, but this one is BIG and yummy. This wine is from the Abruzzo region of Italy. It’s juicy, a bit peppery, and and a very drinkable wine — 6 years ago
Riesling from Langa. Very fine. Had it with Paolo, Ferruccio and Cristiano. High school friends reunion after 28 years! Memorable. Had it with vitello tonnato e carne cruda. — 7 years ago

We got fooled on this one. So musty-dusty smelling that we thought it was corked or bad, so we just set it on the counter. The next night we tried it again for kicks and decided we should decant and see what we have. Good decision! Triple decanted and let it sit for awhile. We would have waited another day if we could, but had other plans so went ahead and drank it. Five hours later it was still opening. Next time we'll probably open it the night before and double decant and let it sit all day. We didn't get the raisin flavor this time. Dry and lots of leather. Delish!! — 8 years ago
