Improbable combo of bright red fruit - straw bomb! - and pert minerality. They find a middle ground. Color is cranberry - thus emerging as my holiday aperitif of choice. In all seriousness, it's dry but not too dry for before d, redolent of herbs and delish red fruit, peach fuzz, and general fabulosity. *crush this for holiday* — 11 years ago
Really great classic in an underrated vintage; small crop but superior quality definitely as good general health but I think better concentration obviously depending the properties and the winemaking but generally a good vintage .... — 11 years ago
Not a fan of red in general, but this is a good one. Sophisticated. — 9 years ago

We tasted this at the winery, bought 2 bottles, and watched Barbara Jackson's wine become the overwhelming hit at Christmas dinner. Powered by fruit in general, with dried cherry in particular and sure signs of how it was handled in the barrel. Amazing! — 11 years ago
The wine needs to breathe a little, but the wait will be rewarded. It's a complex, although still young red that gives a good name not only to kosher wines, but affordable red wines in general. — 11 years ago

"Earthquake wine" - always grab a bottle if I see it somewhere. Fruit bomb with decent structure that is improving year on year. Great winery in general — 9 years ago
