Other raters may have opened this baby too early. Now Clos St. J is deeply intense with blackberry, Garrigue and fennel. Very pure flavors. No alcohol burn at all. A real decadent pleasure.

Decanted and delightful. Dark berries, cassis, pepper on the nose. Solid tannins, heavy bodied, dark fruit. Little earthiness. Dried cherries and prunes. Great with beef Dijon stew.

I really like the St. Jean VV CdP's. Great QPR, often use this wine to introduce newbees to CdP. This will improve with some age but so tasty now it might not make it.
