We bought a bottle of this at a restaurant with a significant mark-up, enjoyed it though — 9 years ago
Lovely wine with velvety structure — 9 years ago
Still -- hell, more than ever -- the best riesling producer in the new world aside from Grosset. Better than most old world producers too. Subtle petrol, heavier on the river rock and slate, with ripping acidity that pares the musky apricot, tropical fruit and lime down to the barest, leanest essence. So dry it makes FX Pichler look like Columbia Crest, and a glassy, electric finish that goes for minutes. Considering his 2006 is still probably a decade away from maturity, this is also young by a fair piece, but far from hard to drink. And I'm not just saying that because it's my wife's and my wedding wine. Shoulda been there, suckers. — 9 years ago

Smokey honeysuckle. Delicious! Pichler FX 1990 GV Kloster Fed — 10 years ago
Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Randaufhellung, in der Nase saftige Frucht nach Zwetschken und Kirschen, feine Holzwürze kling an, am Gaumen sehr stoffig, elegante Textur. — 11 years ago
A bit light and dry, but very good with dense food (fx Christmas). A slight hint of licorice and herbs. — 8 years ago
2012 FX Pichler 'Urgestein Terrassen' Smaradg #Grüner #Wachau #Austrianwine. Intense nose of green grass, honeydew and white pepper with yellow apple and Asian pear on a long, smooth mineral finish. Texture is thick for Grüner. This is a serious #wine. #sommelier #sommlife #wineporrn #winepimping — 9 years ago

My last bottle. Drank like a champ tonight. Dusty and peppery Cab Franc with the just right amount of funk. FX Barc Cab Franc! — 9 years ago
A ripe and delicious FX experience, a lot more lush than expected. — 9 years ago
Best domestic Grüner I've ever had. Lots of green, ripe citrus and orchard fruits, lees influence, and varietal savories (lentil, radish, parsnip, pea purée). 12.7% alcohol puts this in ripe, clean federspiel territory. Similar to Prager or FX in style. There's something special in the Columbia Gorge, I think. Anyone know if this is loess over decomposed basalt in the vineyard? — 9 years ago

Tasted a few FX today. This one had a unique mini dusty juniper pop on the nose. Or something. That was cool. Weygandt tasting. — 8 years ago
