Nose of apricots and petrol. Fairly high acidity. Low viscosity, long finish. Good wine for cellaring a couple of years. — 11 years ago
Deep caramel color. Nice sweetness without being over the top. Enjoyable. — 11 years ago
Enjoyable. Sweeter than I intended. But good with spicy foods. — 11 years ago
An absolutely epic wine from an epic vintage:
Creme brûlée, coffee/toffee/caramel notes, deep amber color with a green rim (always the sign of great Riesling). Concentration of layered botrytis flavors, candied citrus peel, baked apple, clove, spicy, cinnamon, tropical fruits, dates, figs...you name it this wine had it in spades...stunning complexity! Yet not in the least cloying, very clean and perfectly balanced. From very old vines and from an estate that was in its utter heyday at the time this wine was produced--MIRACULOUS!!!

Most mineral wine I've ever tried, like locking a rock. — 14 years ago
Slightly disappointed with he effervesce of this wine when first opened . After 30 minutes of settling that went away and opens a nice mineral slate and stone fruit nose that was also displayed on the palate. Honey ,dates , apricot, slate and mineral dominated this bone dry and brightly acidic monster of a Riesling. — 10 years ago
Burgundian aromatics. Pepper. Iron. Forest floor pine needles. Silky and seamless. Finish pops like fireworks. This has a long life ahead and i will enjoy every drop of it. — 11 years ago
1975 Freiherr von Schorlemer-Lieser Schloss Lieser Lieserer Niederberg Helden Riesling. I was hoping for more oh well. I have another bottle I hope it is better. — 11 years ago
In the Nose, walnut, marzipan, quince, honey, chestnut and raisin. In addition on the Palate, caramell, clove and star anise. Still has some good acidity (RS: 183g, Acid: 7.2g) — 11 years ago
