Absolutely amazing Barolo. Oh my. Been a while since I had suck a lovely Italian Barolo that impressed me. Plums, dark cherries and licorice. — 5 months ago
Had this for our anniversary! New fave. Can’t believe I ever thought I didn’t like Italian wine. Full body, tells a story. Slightly tannic. Blackberry, clay pot. Really really good value for a low splurge. — 6 months ago
Solid valpolicella — 8 months ago
N: Decanted 3 hrs. Reddish brown.
Big cherry liqueur nose, chocolate, leather. the woods, autumnal spice.
I detect French barrique.
P: Classic young Barolo, lots of mouth filling , Dark cherries, cocoa, herbs, cheek gripping tannins.
You can sense the barrique but it’s not overdone. W Bolognese, it’s really nice.
My thought is that many of the ‘16’s were designed for earlier drinking, esp. w the use of barrique.
I reduced my score a couple pts. after extended time out.The fruit didn’t cover the wood. A trifle disappointed. — 2 years ago
Lovely chilled red. Super light, very refreshing. Blueberry fruit, clean tart finish. Love it!! — 3 years ago
2004 Reserve: tobacco leaf, menthol, leather, star anise, and earth on the nose. Gorgeous assimilation of acidity and tannins. Almost unctuous really. Red fruits still feel young as wine opens with gorgeous structure and lengthy finish. At 20yrs old, really hitting its stride, so representative of Nebbiolo!! — 4 months ago
The nose shows; poached strawberries, cooked cherries, some blackberries, just a hint of bubble gum, some sandy, wet, black earth, red & pink roses.
The palate is ripe and juicy & light bodied. Black cherries, strawberries raspberries, pomegranate, some blackberries & black raspberries, hints of blood orange, loamy sandy, limestone, dark spice with a touch heat, hints of licorice & cola, very fine, dry, soft tannins, red and pink roses, red flowers, beautiful acidity and a pleasant, elegant, easy finish that lasts a full minute. — 6 months ago
Headline: “damn near perfect” not dry, not bitter, not sweet, not watery, just lovely balance all around. If you’re looking for a defining characteristic it’s that there is none. Some would say the greatest designs goes unnoticed. I would also say that the greatest wines should lay in a similar vein. There is no one flavor or characteristic about it that is overpowering the rest. — 7 months ago
Excellent Barbaresco. Had it as a wine tasting in Barolo with my son Davide and friends Barhah and Hussein! Super Bouquet — 2 years ago
This gets the perfect 10 score. Never given one out - shout out to the paisans who came up with this beaut 🇮🇹

Solid young, savory Nebbiolo. Better 2nd day - more integrated. — 4 years ago
2018, pale and earthy color, light but intense, not much complexity but just enough. — 7 months ago
Reddish in color.
Fruity nose and medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red currants, fresh cherries, light oak, herbs, light earth, spices, chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This 6 year old feels very young at the moment. Fruity with mild complexity. Soft and smooth. Elegant with good structure.
Needs time to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged for 2 years in large French oak barrels.
15% alcohol by volume.

A great vermouth; easily stands on its own — 3 years ago
The best digestive I've ever tried, it helps upset stomachs — 4 years ago
Very nice but for some reason not quite singing at the same level of the last bottle we had of this earlier this year. I do suggest a 2+ hour decant. Lots of cherry and a bit of dark cherry. Quite balanced with great freshness. Long finish. Tannins are a bit chunky at this point, but still a great wine with a fatty steak. — 4 years ago

I opened this one too early. It still needs to get it all together. Very promising though — 4 months ago
