A lovely and almost discrete Chardonnay. Made by Chassagne-Montrachet producer Philippe Colin, it is surprisingly reticent and very well balanced. Lemon, green apple and nectarine on the nose it has very well balanced acidity in the mouth with just a hint of oak to give it depth. A lovely wine. — 6 years ago

Dark & rich on the nose with blackberry jam, cassis, raw beef, black olives and tobacco leaf. And a refreshing menthol - allspice - cloves whiff.
Very smooth on the palate, with surprising lightness and impressive balance & poise. Rich, without the weight, the tannins mellow, the acidity fresh. Velvety towards the long finish with a spicy aftertaste.
Seductive and very pleasing, def. more New World rather than Rhône.
