Delicious, lush, and savory. Good Barbera acids, prune, stewed cherry, cola/black tea, wet earth and some mushroom, Piedmont tar, some minerals. From Amaro Spirits and Wine. 01/29/22 — 4 years ago
Maybe a bit past prime. Not much depth. Still fun to drink. — 6 years ago
Super delicious! Relatively clean and precise. Great balance with uplifting, fresh character. — 6 years ago
Long earthy finish, some berries, well blended. My Family and I enjoyed this wine with spaghetti and meatballs! — 9 years ago
A great, traditionally-styled Barolo. Long and complete. Dried cherry, tar, and roses all day. Finishes very dry with great length. @Lyle Fass — 9 years ago
This is almost as amazing as the restaurant — 8 months ago

Great cab franc from Uco, if you are into that style. Fruity (no oak whatsoever), but certainly not sweet or syrupy. Fairly acidic, and with a distinct mineral taste, like chalk or graphite. Lighter bodied than a cab sauvignon or a malbec (lighter colors, etc.) But still a powerful wine. — 8 years ago
Lighter than most barolo. Went well with a banana pepper risotto / spicy Remoulade. Enjoyed — 2 years ago
Probably the best bottle of this I’ve had. Perfectly matured classical Rioja. Black cherries, some caramel, no tannins left and piercing acidity. — 4 years ago
No formal notes. Sweet mix of black/red fruit, ripe yet assertive tannins, nice mid-palate juice, leathery. Structured and quiet now, shows potential. — 5 years ago
Very nice wine for the price — 7 years ago

2013 vintage. Decanted and tasted after one hour. Super durty nose and approach. Light-medium body with a erupting spice festival afoot. Maybe another 3-4 years in the current appeal before the morph. 10.03.25. — 8 months ago
