Move over fernet. — 9 years ago
Spearmint dominates the rooty-herbal nose. Light weight, less viscous than most fernet. Get a big black tea note on the palate. — 9 years ago

My número uno go-to amaro after Fernet Branca. — 10 years ago
Very pale ruby. Pungent red fruit, spice cake, Christmas pudding aromas. A touch of CO2 on the palate and plenty of firm acidity. Paired well high a highly seasoned mustard vinaigrette salad. Even better with a handful of pretzels later. When it shows cola nut and Fernet aromas. Very interesting. — 11 years ago
More like fernet. Yum. — 12 years ago
With a splash of fizzy water and vanilla — 9 years ago
Douglas fir, fernet, wet moss, ferns, smoke, spice cake, dark cherry, wet rocks, violets. There's a masculine almost fleshy character with lots of soft and elegant feminine qualities simultaneously. Beautiful tannin structure. — 9 years ago
Eucalyptus, prickly pear and a balsamic toast atop peppermint oil finishes out the pungent microcosm. Tight near-ripe raspberry, tannic cranberry and red clay with basil oil tend to the center. There is cola-cherry-syrup- bourbon root liqueur happening that makes it darken toward the end, almost Coke and Fernet branca, but also a very green, leafy remnant full of iron. The finale is pomegranate, and it is a chewy answer to the pointed questions in the middle. Great vintage, fabulous wine. — 10 years ago
1983 (very warm. Pepe stocked entire vintage for 20 years because it was too inky)
Dull medium clear ruby.
Mushrooms on the nose, but less strong than 1994. (Blue cheese?) Red fruit, pulsing with energy. Smoke and molasses
Bubbly. Such youth!! Crisp acidity. Cherries. Sweetness underneath. Line of bitterness. Like a fernet, light bodied but bitter and sour. Long ending of sweet clay. — 10 years ago
Beautiful aromatics. Astringent. Hint of cola. Hecho y Mexico. — 10 years ago
Aquavit brings me home. This is Occidental. A #cocktail with Linie aquavit, Grand Marnier, Amaro and a Fernet Branca rinsed coupe glass. Linie is shipped from Norway around the globe while it is aged in old cherry casks. So awesome! Garnish with an orange twist and you're good to go. — 10 years ago
Better than cream de menthe. Loved t. At Pig and Pickle with Anderson's. great night good waiter Steven. — 11 years ago
Minty ridiculousness!!! — 12 years ago
Holy Mother of Jerez Son of a Biscuit Eating Motherless Goat!! This is so unique, weird, delicious. Could literally sip just enough to wet the lips all day long. This makes aged fernet seem worthless and sterile. @steviestacionis @nopasf — 12 years ago
Maybe a tad bit medicinal like some fernet — 9 years ago
Full, herbal, ripe and oaky on the nose, obviously still young but more than ready to play. Odors of licorice and Fernet or Chartreuse come through. Thank goodness this has been open since yesterday, it almost certainly needed it. On the palate, bright cassis, wild strawberry and herbal liquor comes through with jasmine and finely structured tannins. Yumyumyum. — 9 years ago
Bitter on the start somewhere between a cynar and fernet, the nose switches from herbal to strong notes of honey, slightly sweet mid-palate, herbal bitter finish — 10 years ago
I Love Italian Fernet but this is Amazing! — 10 years ago
Musty forest floor driven wine. Showing red fruits and a herbal component. Fernet like. Cranberry pops. Was awesome with foie wild mushroom burger at the wine cask shared with john Vidal ! — 10 years ago
Nice soft malty porter with delicate oaky savor notes and herbs . Tasty! — 10 years ago
Super impressive, so Much Eolaness. Decaying leave and smoke with a slight fernet finish. — 11 years ago
Pipe tar and tobacco, dried oregano and a fernet like herbal note. Strong tannic backbone. — 11 years ago

Not for everyone...like Fernet Branca wine with herbs and God knows what in there but Monks live off this stuff so can't be all bad. — 9 years ago
