Beautiful and elegant. Sweet with a fabulous acidity that ensures that it isn't cloying. Brilliant wine, there is a reason so many sweet wines try to emulate d'Yquem. — 9 years ago
old OPUS ONE, taste just like a fabulous vintage Chateau Mouton. — 10 years ago

2008. Fabulous! A bit of spice to go with the deep fruit hints. Buy this if you find it. — 7 years ago
Enjoying a fabulous gift! Deliciousness that adds to any celebration! — 9 years ago
Damn good but still way young...layered with roasted earth, black currant and blackberry compote and a good bit of smoke. Warm year so maybe a bit more clunky than other vintages but Dominus is really fabulous!! One of the few Napa wines I really like with serious age....half hour in decanter and candied cherries and red fruits coming out...enjoying this one! — 9 years ago

Fabulous 2003, not nearly as much brett as the 2001 I had a few weeks ago. Solid mature notes of cassis, cedar, fall leaves and loamy notes. The palate is elegant, but persistent with a fabulous attack the finish is perfumy and clean. #lebanonwine — 13 years ago

The 2014 Pichon Lalande has the edge over Pichon Baron a few months ago. It is a tight race but here Pichon Lalande edges it. It has a wonderful, complex, intense bouquet with blackberry, briary, graphite and mint – just a straight-down-the-line Pauillac with all the aristocratic flair you look for. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, layers of pure black fruit laced with graphite and mint. It is blessed with a satin-like texture, not a hair out of place from start to finish, with a long, persistent aftertaste that completes a fabulous wine for the vintage. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, March 2018) — 8 years ago
Mind blowing good and showing absolutely perfectly, perfection in the glass. Balanced and evolving in the glass. A phenomenal example of a fine 52. Voted 1st in the 4 that we have had thus far. Dry boysenberry , flint, fabulous — 9 years ago

Dr. Owen Bargreen
The 2009 Dom Pérignon is a simply fabulous effort from a challenging vintage in Champagne. The musty and earthy aromatics grab you straight away followed by wild mushrooms, brioche, poached pear and toasted hazelnut aromatics that impress. Incredibly balanced and with remarkable finesse, this shows off flavors of lemon zest, baked apple and marzipan with hints of biscuit. Today this is just a touch youthful, needing some additinonal time to develop. Nonetheless this it is a simply gorgeous Champagne with marvelous cellaring potential. Try to hold off on this stunner for at least two years. Drink 2021-2040- 95 — 7 years ago
