WhAt ThE FUuuuu?!?! Such a good wine! Feel’s like a refreshing Kombucha!! Guilt free bc it feels so healthy and natural and light as air! One of my new faves ever! — 4 years ago
A very enjoyable, and very complex, 21 year old red blend from Pessac Léognan, Bordeaux.
Showing red and black fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco, dark peppercorn, dark coffee, forest floor, green vegetables, graphites, vinaigrette and spices.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show the complexity.
Peaking now, and will be good in the next few years. What a treat. This is so delicious.
Wine Advocate 93 points.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
13% alcohol by volume.

Opaque. Dark and brooding tawny to the rim. Fragrant seductive nose. Notes of black cherry, sweet plums, dark soil, moist forest bark and old tree leaves. With air some cherry pie filling, cracked nuts, mocha and a little clove appear. Rich and silky in the mouth. Smooth. Long finish. Still young. Really good wine. — 5 years ago
Awesome savagnin and Chardonnay...grapefruit cloud — 6 years ago
My first of the big Antinori wines, and as a birthday present to myself, popped the cork this year.
A fog laden forest of chestnuts and cedar form a vapor lock around this vegetable and herb stew slowly cooking over the campfire. All of these tastes, and smells swirl in this wine. Decanted 3+ hours. Going deeper..
When a wines finish lasts for longer than 5 minutes... Wow. — 7 years ago
Elegant. Tannins are still firm. Stewed fruits, leather, currants, cassis. Some forest floor. Beautiful wine. — 7 years ago
From magnum with low shoulder fill. Dark ruby and opaque. Black cherries, forest floor, warm berry pie fruit in the nose. Very heavy and rich in the mouth. Everyone guessed 82 Bordeaux. If I'm judging, the perfectly balanced 55 Mouton tonite gets the slight edge because the fruit in the 59 Margaux was a bit more dominant than the less evident tannins, structure and acidity. Really good wine experience. — 8 years ago
Drank with my buddies Geoff and Danny. It's amazing. Here is the thing when drinking next to a 70 R Mondavi CS you really see the Bordeaux wooly aromatic thing. Napa is so clean and offering of florals and fruits, yet the Bordeaux had the forest floor and wooly thing. Both awesome but night and day. — 10 years ago
Singing in the glass with gorgeous aromatics that don’t let on to it’s age. The palate displays more maturity with sun baked cherries, forest leaves, and sandalwood. Grainy tannin with a long, fresh finish of cranberry and faint vanilla.
I don’t picture this getting any better, but there’s certainly no rush with the ‘05. — 4 years ago
Always great. You can feel the wood and the freshness in this wine. — 5 years ago
Cherry and strawberry juice, a bit of menthol, forest floor. Deep berry undertones. — 5 years ago
2014 vintage. Surprisingly well balanced for such an inexpensive wine. Fairly tannic with luscious dark berry/cherry notes and quite a bit of spice. Long and lovely finish. Good value red blend. — 6 years ago
Fantastic. Let it breathe for an hour. Drank w our two friends who own Manousakis Vineyard in Chania. Very special wine that is full bodied with soft tannins. Full of soft cherries and forest floor. It's the bomb — 8 years ago
Amazing. What a journey so far. Started off delicate, figure skater vibes, went through extroverted phases of oyster shell and white flowers, and has landed in butterscotch minute finish full meal zone. Wish I had more. Like watching a lifetime! (Or hopefully a third of one) #birthyear — 10 years ago

Ripe raspberry, dramatic spice, dynamic acidity somehow, herbaceous, forest floor, soothing tannin. A little robust and all over the place but quite complex also. — 5 years ago
Great tasty Malbec — 7 years ago
Past peak but still some nice cassis fruit and acid in there to go along with smokey forest floor notes. Clear quality as elegance. — 8 years ago
Unique / Bordeaux style wine. Needs time to open and despite the age, would improve with decanting this wine. Old world nose, well balanced on mid palate with forest notes and wild berries. Medium finish — 8 years ago
Monkey 47 Dry Distiller Gin. Slightly hazy, water white, colourless. Pronounced intensity of perfume, juniper, lingonberry, violets, lavender, orange and grapefruit zest. With water added, more perfume and citrus notes to the fore. Dry on the palate. Warming alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity. Long finish. Very complex. Outstanding example of a premium gin. — 9 years ago
