This is a beaut. Perfume and earth. Garden soil and woodland scrubs and evergreen shrubbery. Slight floral undertone. Spicy, tobacco and leather. Medium bodied, highly tannic, deserves a decent decant for being 12 years old. God, I love Mourvèdre. — 6 years ago
Christmas-y almost, smooth with a hint of evergreen on the nose — 7 years ago
Holy crap this is good. Beautiful garnet color with great clarity. Curious, woodsy/evergreen nose. Wild strawberries and a hint of orange/citrus on the palate. Poised and elegant with refreshing acid. Quite a surprise. — 8 years ago
Doing a vintage compare. Same wine...2013 now, 2012 tomorrow...
Fairly opaque crimson color. Wide clear alcohol rim. Evergreen nose with dark red fruit. Perfect body. Medium plus. A little white pepper mid palate, and ends with hot drying tannins.

Petrol, orange rind, big fruit. Sugar acid balance is solid. Slightly tropical. — 9 years ago
Excellent and complex. Minerality and many different fruit overtones. Decently dry for Riesling. — 9 years ago
This reliably delicious Sauvignon Blanc from Washington’s cool Ancient Lakes area is brilliant in 2018, offering penetrating aromas and flavors of lime blossom, grapefruit, lemongrass, anise and beeswax. It’s also remarkably supple for a bone-dry wine with bracing acidity. $22.00 (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, September 2019) — 6 years ago
Green olives dominate ... Lots of Merlot notes. Getting ahead of myself. Deep opaque ruby, with organgy rim. Very vegetal... Green olive, green bell pepper, perhaps some evergreen, the palate adds oak, nutty, hint of vanilla.
It's a little weighty, tired? Good not great.

From 375 ml - A melange of slightly confected dark cherry and raspberry, spice, and evergreen bough steminess, nice but a little bitter on the finish. It grows on me though, and I liked the last glass much more than the first. It also showed better with food. — 7 years ago
The 2015 Magician is 100% Riesling from Evergreen Vineyard, located high on the cliffs high above the Columbia River in the middle of Washington State. On the nose; nice tropicals, green apple, pear, lemon, lime, a little white pepper and fresh yellow florals. On the palate, fresh, bright fruits of; green apple, lemon, lime, pineapple, green melon and guava. Spring florals, saline, chalky minerals, nice round acidity and beautiful, slightly oily, round finish. Photos of; their tasting bar, Trey Busch - Co-owner/Winemaker and old Jukebox in their tasting room. Producer/Owner notes...A Pearl Jam concert is one of the reasons Trey ended up in the Pacific NW after seeing them in his first concert ever in Atlanta. In 1992, Trey moved to the Pacific Northwest. He got a job at Nordstrom and worked there for 8 years. Trey was then offered the chance to get into the wine business with the Dunham Cellars. Nice summer wine — 9 years ago
Delicious and buttery with some green notes and citrus. — 6 years ago
Elegant natural Savoie pinot with some age. Funky, crunchy, musky aromatics of cranberry, blood orange, evergreen and forest floor. Palate still has beautiful fruit and acid, very precise. Light on its feet but a beautiful pairing for an herb-heavy meal of salmon, sweet potatoes and roasted veggies. — 7 years ago
Golden, intense aromas of mandarin/orange, honey, flower, and evergreen. Medium sweet, full bodied balanced with intense crisp acidity. Honeyed intense flavors of orange, apple, grape, some minerality. I didn't quite notice any gasoline flavor, which usually puts my girlfriend off of Rieslings. Overall excellent wine to drink chilled on its own, while relaxing or having a philosophical debate. Yum. — 8 years ago
Generous stone fruits and white flower, hints of botrytis. Similar to a classic Alsace Riesling. — 8 years ago
This was a tuff year, with lots of rain and cool summer. Cassis, blackberries, with an intense dark Ruby color. Lots of minerals, clay, evergreen notes, smooth tannins. A little bit of vanilla on the finish. Great bottle for "Technical Year". — 8 years ago
Evergreen, grapefruit, gingerbread, green onion, cedar, band-aid, and a very clean, smoky peat bouquet! Ridiculously generous complexity on the palate, ranging from caramelized tea biscuit, to smoked, candied lemon peel, parsnip and gunpowder. Long, lingering finish. — 9 years ago

Deep ruby color. Aromas of red currant, cherry, cassis and evergreen. Loads of black and red fruit in the palate, dry cedar finish. Amazing! — 5 years ago
