The Laphroaig of rum. Distilled only from pot stills and naturally fermented from native yeasts. The result is a high-ester rum of unparalleled complexity, and an authentic rendition of 19th century Jamaican rum. The flavors are assertive and work well in tandem with dark Jamaican rum in cocktails. Perhaps best appreciated with lemon juice, Demerara syrup, angostura bitters, over ice. — 10 years ago

a light Pa. white wine named for the only civilian killed during battle of Gettysburg. Not too sweet or dry, just right. — 12 years ago

Great siciliano vino Carlo Hauser winery. The winery that made the wine that got me hooked 25 years ago. This wine is all about style, silky tannins, black berries, black licorice, volcanic minerals...and this wine was purchased in Florence. We drank a couple of bottles with Nicholas Ruth and Cristina Anel Ruth. — 9 years ago
