Raclette night. Closed out the night with this decanted beauty. Plum and prune nose with cedar box and some forest floor notes. Still a lot of fruit and life, integrated soft tanins and great acid. — 6 years ago
Single block of Syrah aged 18 months in French oak and another 14 in bottle before release. Great aroma and full without causing pucker — 7 years ago
Rust. Liquid raisin and overripe strawberry. Lots of leather and grass. Well-crafted wine. I am now eagerly awaiting the 2001 still in the cellar. — 9 years ago
Phenomenal wine. Beautiful rust color. Medium-minus tannins—just enough to offer a grippy finish without overpowering the fruit notes or any food. Smoked cherry, dusty raisin, old tire, & subtle raspberry on the nose. Lush, yet dusty fruit on the front. Notes of violet, black cherry, tobacco, tire, & unsweetened cocoa powder. Such an elegant wine. — 6 years ago
2008 vintage. Fabulous. Big mouth flavor. Earthy. Fruity. — 7 years ago
Remarkable rust color but not due to a mistake or accident. Baked bread with a smooth light red raspberry and plum combo. — 8 years ago
Need to get more of this — 8 years ago

Ragan- this was their Welchriesling Orange Wine. Fucking killer and approachable. — 7 years ago
A lovely Garnett with some brick/rust color to the edges showing its age. This is the only indication that this wine has aged. Ripe moderate plus tannins with moderate plus acidity. Brandied cherries with plenty of leather, touch of tar, maybe even banana chips as it opens up. Tastes absolutely lovely. Could age another 10 years easily. Long finish. Dark cherries, touch of tomato, leather, nice complexity. — 8 years ago
Tobacco, cedar and earthy aromas. Complex, brambly, and extracted flavors of dark cherry and cassis. Longer barrel and bottle age yields smooth tannins and a long finish. — 9 years ago

David Girard Vineyards Estate Vineyard El Dorado Mourvèdre 2011: Full-bodied. Slight brown/rust in color. Layers of red & dark fruits. Leather. A nice smooth finish with some lingering spice. In my opinion, this was a very Nebbiolo like wine! All in all, a perfect ending to our mountain cabin life! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
