Yum yum yum. Maybe I'm biased toward brunellos but this one has great complexity and fun fruity but mostly non-fruity flavors: leather, clay, earth, raisins. Keeps changing as you drink it.

A lovely Garnett with some brick/rust color to the edges showing its age. This is the only indication that this wine has aged. Ripe moderate plus tannins with moderate plus acidity. Brandied cherries with plenty of leather, touch of tar, maybe even banana chips as it opens up. Tastes absolutely lovely. Could age another 10 years easily. Long finish. Dark cherries, touch of tomato, leather, nice complexity.

A constant evolution of smells and flavors, exquisite complexity. Leather, brandied black cherries, cinnamon, a quick flit of raspberries and bubblegum (??) and the carousel keeps on turning. Impressive stuff.

2008 vintage. Very good, aristocratic Brunello for those who understand - strong aroma of dead leaves, very intensive.
