I met winemaker David last year. A blend of 70% Pinot Nero and 30% Glera with 6 months of fining. Fresh fragrant fruit aromas with slight mousse and bubble flow. On the palate stone and berry fruit flavors on dryer crisp side, good balance between fruit and crispness, (I prefer a dry Prosecco) ending clean and elegant. A very nice Prosecco, one of the best I have tasted, worth the price. Tasting Sample. — 5 years ago
Piemonte tasting #4
After 10h decanting this finally shows... wilted flower petals, mushroom soup, light cherries. Beautiful mouthfeel with the typical tannic grip yet with the beautiful flow and juicy, acidic drinkability.

Est. in 1987, belongs to Champagne Taittinger (personal favorite) considered the concept in 1947 in the mind of Claude Taittinger. 138 acre estate is situated in the Carneros appellation of CA. A blend (changes ea year) of 35% Chard, 62% Pinot Noir & 3% Pinot Gris, aged 3 1/2 years in the bottle. Aromas of stone fruit and toasty spice. Raspberry and peach flavors, complex, with citrus notes in a fine mousse with good bubble flow. Well structured, vibrant lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Will benefit from some aging. — 7 years ago
Thick inky sweet with oily flow. Worked well with lamb shank that this restaurant is famous for. And worked with Spanish rice pudding too! — 8 years ago
Maroon to burgundy with a deeper burgundy rim, spin it around and dampened earth and last night's smoldering fire hits but mellows to spice interestingly accenting camomile and a way far-off Play-Doh fantasy then back to the smoldering ember blueberries and strawberries unctuously coating, clinging front to back, then the tannins squeeze the acid and fruit just enough to slow the flow for a lazy decent into a skinny-dipping swim, swirl and, hell yes, another swig, which at a mere 12% I want to dance all night! Don't know about you, but I plan to snag a couple of cases of this seductive stuff with the sunrise. For now, "a glass of red and the sunset..." — 10 years ago
A few years ago, had their debut offering from French producer Pommery, tried a new batch, which has a bit more Pinot Noir, 95% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir. Medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruits with a toasty nose. On the palate flavors of apple and peach flavors, soft mousse, creamy vanilla notes and good bubble flow, nice balance. Medium+ Finish ending with fruit and biscuit character. Good value. — 5 years ago
Tried this twice recently. From a small grower who specializes in Pinot Meunier, with vines are planted in clay and chalk-based soils. A nice alternative from the usual blends, made with 100% Pinot Meunier. Intense aromas of red fruits and bread notes, nice mousse and bubble flow. On the palate juicy red berry fruit flavors with spice and toasty notes. Bold ending with toasty, yeasty, brioche notes, lingering on an elegant finish. Very Nice! A Fav!! — 5 years ago
Delicious though we may have overaged it a bit. — 6 years ago
Had this over a year ago, this is a new batch. Rich and creamy Blanc de Blanc with fruit from the villages of Avize and Oger. Fine mousse and bubble flow. Peach and sweet Apple with smoky and yeasty notes adding some lemon zest. Nice balance with toasty nutty notes, great mouthfeel on lingering finish, ending with mineral and yeasty tang. Nice! Grab one for Valentine’s Day. — 6 years ago
Had this NV about three years ago and tried their new batch. The Carte d'Or cuvée has a very high proportion of Pinot Noir, which is “the Drappier style.” Aromas of stone fruit and spice in a light frothy mousse. On the palate peach, plum and raspberry with citrus zest and earthy spice. Nice flow of bubbles lead to a lingering finish ending with toasty notes. From my ‘16 notes very consistent house quality style. Nice! — 6 years ago
cuvee from different vineyards, Paul's entry level PN, but the quality is super high; n: slightly veggie in the begginig, autumn leafs, stems, earthy then strawberries and cherries; p: nice texture, gentle flow. — 8 years ago
Tried another bottle of this premium Cava, a blend of macabeo and parellada from the Penedes region. Straw with nice tiny bubble flow. Complex aromas of stone fruits and baking spice. The palate shows crisp red apple flavors on this Reserva along with mineral and yeasty notes. Steady stream of bubbles bring this Cava to a medium length finish ending with mineral tones. Nice value. — 9 years ago
Very nice.. Well balanced, great flow — 11 years ago
Love it. That notorious 2011 vintage did little to stem he flow of great Chardonnay from Victoria's best vineyards and handlers. This has just enough ripeness to the citrus and stone fruits, the oak is superbly judged in its structural and flavour contribution and the acids give it great line and length. A delicious, refined drink. — 11 years ago
Really nice - honeysuckle, apricot, maybe even some lemon peel? The oak is definitely there at the end but it’s not overbearing at all. Paired it with stuffing, Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes but would also be great with grilled fish. — 5 years ago
I met the winemaker David last year. Fresh and crisp, unusual for a Prosecco, 100% Glera, pleasant aromas of stone and tropical fruits. On the palate pear and peach flavors, good bubble flow, on dryer side, good balance between fruit and crispness (I prefer a dry Prosecco) ending clean and elegant. Pricey compared to the others out there, but comparison is like apples to oranges. A very nice Prosecco, one of the very best I have tasted, worth the price. — 5 years ago

Had this over a year ago, this is a new batch, a Fav! Rodolphe Péters took over the reins of this venerable estate in the southern Côte des Blancs in 2008, becoming the fourth generation to lead since the estate was founded in 1919, under the name Camille Péters. 100% Chardonnay, Crisp, fine mousse with steady flow of bubbles. Citrus, and biscuit aromas. Fresh fruit flavors of peach, apples and lemons, smooth and dry. Long mineral finish ending with elegance. Nice! — 6 years ago
Straw yellow with good flow of tiny bubbles and light mousse, aromas of fresh bread dough with notes of nutty peaches. On the palate flavors of peach, citrus and melon, with fragrant biscuit notes. Medium+ finish, good balance, plenty of acidity, ending dry with yeasty character. Tasting great! — 7 years ago
Both of us enjoyed. Not heavy but more body than typical PN — 7 years ago
A blend of 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir showing aromas of fresh stone fruits, good bubble flow. On the palate stonr fruit flavors with citrus notes and biscuit tones. Medium creamy finish ending with a citrus and mineral character. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago
Light body and very "Pinot Noir" like. Bright red cherry and strawberry flavors. Mild tannins and light oak. Hint of smoke. Refreshing. Chill it a bit below cellar temp. Great story about the winery. A Mt. Etna lava flow just went around them 30 years ago. — 9 years ago
Superb! Ultra smooth, creamy and light. Easy flow and a bit sweet. Smells like a caramel graham cracker. — 10 years ago
