Nice, fruity, light but sweet as expected, match accordingly — 2 years ago
There's a great video on YT on what a Saison is. In short, it's a farmhouse ale (pale or sometimes red) that was historically served to farm workers as a clean source of hydration. Without any distinctive characters and lower in alcohol then, the "Saison" only really gained it's signature when the house in question came into the equation. Also, based on my research, the checkered "Vielle Provision" yellow labels are the export labels.
As it was here, the Dupont Brewery's Saison is generally cloudy, very carbonated via bottle conditioning, zesty and spicy, bitter with a hint of sour, and a dry hoppy finish. For me, this is truly "The beer for all seasons" - the flavours are just so versatile. Perfect for a warm summer afternoon in the park, yet complex enough to pair with a 3-star dish. — 4 years ago
Rich amber color. Ripe-apple, dried fruit, nuts, new plastic, and butterscotch. A bit of oak and mouthfeel from the juice, cherry and raisins lingering a bit on the finish. 9/26/16 — 8 years ago
Great but very sweet. More dessert wine. Non alcoholic. — 2 years ago

Rich and comfortable deep oak aroma. A bit slightly creamy. Enough acidity and citrus flavor. Nuts. Balanced with elegancy. 2018 @1670, domaine -, 210520-210612 — 3 years ago
Very pretty. Wilted rose. Red cherry. — 8 years ago
Etienne DuPont Cuvée Colette. This has the nose of a Pinot Noir- very red-fruited, but with baked orchard fruit at the same time. Toasty bread and crystallized honey notes, minerally. Really in love with the nose but the palate is weird. Bubbles are a bit aggressive. Like most aggressive I've had in a cider. — 8 years ago
This is amazing apple brandy! — 8 years ago
2022/8. Along with the Fichet Bourgogne Blanc VV, this was part of some recent fun exploring lower-designation wines appending Meursault Charmes. Really nice - pretty much all the elements you could expect in a villages and then some. — 2 years ago
2022/7/9-10 with chicken with white wine and tarragon, Kenji Lopez-Alt’s roasted potatoes, etc. This had a lovely, pure nose - high toned with citrus, flowers, minerals and a touch of sweet spice - with an invitingly juicy palate on day 1. On day 2 it was slightly looser and in a more overtly sweet-sour vein, but still tasty. — 2 years ago
New comer and Meursault young vintage 2017, but quite smooth to make me high potential. Apple etc. rich aroma. @, Kai, 190406 — 5 years ago

Saison DuPont is one of my favorite beers ever, amazingly my first time having this one. Insanely good, fuller body, more lemon oil than cream, pepper, clove, lemongrass, bread. I can’t believe they don’t add spices to this. So freaking complex. Finish lasts well over 30 seconds with lemon, poppy seeds, hay, jasmine tea. Wish I could find more of this. — a year ago
