I am a "Reds!" Pahlmeyer wine club member and these bottles are the reason why. If someone asked me about Petit Verdot, I would say its a blending variety. I like it in their Proprietary Red and wines like J. Phelps Insignia. But a single vineyard variety release? I have no idea what to expect. What a bottle! The jammy forward fruit is massive like a Shiraz, but you don't need a steak to drink it. Sweet, but elegant. It has a refined balanced finish that leaves you asking for another sip. Incredible nose, deep red fruit, albeit a bit hot. Another solid RRV Zin from J Swan! — 11 years ago
Developing nicely - 2005 magnum - with friends at J&G - The St Regis at Bal Harbor. — 12 years ago
Unfortunately, somewhat closed at this point, even after a double decant. On the nose, hints of olives and spice. Missing the violets I want from a S-J. In the mouth, dark fruit and black olives. Medium-long finish. Needs time, but may not flesh out to what I would like it to be. Bought at the winery in France circa 2006. — 9 years ago

Delicious. ReAlly well made. Fruity but without those irritating rose notes. — 10 years ago
Boysenberries, blueberries, vanilla, caramel, earthy, mushroom, gravely. Big, rich but smooth after a good double decant. — 10 years ago
Premium petite sirah mark Jessup is the man! — 10 years ago
Rustic, beautiful deep color, mouth filling. A very enjoyable wine with tonight's grilled veal chops. A winery on the rise for sure, with great family lineage, Historic Dusi Ranch. — 11 years ago

Easy to drink. Had at Juniper and Ivy. — 9 years ago
Picked up a case of the 2005 on a Sideways movie tour in 06. Cool rustic wine tasting room. Santa Barbara County is almost as much fun as Napa and Sonoma. Last one and drinking exceptionally well. Complex nose of dark fruit, licorice, barbecued ham. Similar on the palate, really delicious. Cheers. — 10 years ago

This is so nugget worthy,
Double shift for 10 days straight has brought me to my knees,.
The buffalo sauce seems to over power the wine, I suggest the habanero ranch as the better alternative, bbq sauce is just for kids — 9 years ago
