J' adore ce genre de bière. Astringente et très amère, une explosion d' agrumes et de notes florales et de pin, une jolie couleur dorée. Double IPA américaine qui titre à 8.7. Double decant and pour(minimal cloudy sediment). A magical murky reddish/purple color. On the nose: blackberry, currents, floral, minerals, earthy. Taste: graphite, black fruit, crushed rocks, pepper, chocolate with a rich medium finish....tannins fully integrated...seems to be about or at its peak..don't wait, pop one if you have em!! — 6 years ago
April 28, 2018. Dinner w/Doc J, KK, J2. Beef Bourguignon & Chocolate soufflés. Oh, and this wine, first of 3 😳 bottles. Wine was lovely. Smooth, earthy, dark fruit but not at all fruity. Perhaps a hit of blueberry. From my old Trione wine club days. Love their reds and this one did not disappoint. — 7 years ago

Made in an oxidative style like the Jura Blanc, but much more so. Rich, saline, nutty. May not be for everyone, but I really like this style. Double post as Mrs A and I shared a bottle the day prior, before opening this one for guests. — 9 years ago
I love Carlisle, but if the mantra that they all need tons of rest holds true then that goes double for this one. Day 2 and it's just starting to open up and give a peak. Will hold another 5 years before I check in again. — 9 years ago

Double decant and pour. A splendid dark ruby red color. On the nose: black cherry, cassis, wet leaves, cinnamon. Taste: black cherry, spice, mushroom, tea.......full body, firm tannins and a medium to long finish....wants a little more time in the bottle. — 5 years ago
