v18. Shocked, was expecting deep and dark, and got fresh and bright! Dusty, smoked meat and sharp cedar nose. Fresh , slightly sour cherry fruit. Bright, clean, slate finish. Nicely balanced. Unique. — 4 months ago
A few days ago we opened the 2018 Susana Balbo Signature Cabernet Sauvignon from Valle de Uco Mendoza. This is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec.
On the nose we have black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, plum, green peppercorns, spice, cedar, chocolate and crushed gravel.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, spice green bell pepper, black pepper, minerality and earth.
This is a full bodied wine and has a clean fresh mouthfeel medium+ acidity and medium+crunchy tannins that has a nice long dark fruit spicy finish. Have a nice weekend and do something fun. Stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 8 months ago
Better as it airs. Dark and dangerous looking. Fruity scent and sharp initially with berry and just a bit of the aged oak the label boasts. 2019 and just right. — a year ago
