Great fruit for Rhone with structure — 11 years ago
Light garnet color with a small ruby core. Aromas of wet soil, red berries and dried rose petals. Flavors of raspberries, red currants, mushrooms and savory spices. Long lasting finish. Gripping acidity with very silky tannins. Light bodied and quite savory but still full of finesse. Needs a bit of aeration to fully open up. Solid value and nice mid-week option. Thanks for the bottle, Kase. — 5 months ago

Garnet in color. Intense aroma of red licorice, cranberry, dried cherries, and smoke. Incredible earthy palate that tastes of campfire and unsweetened chocolate. It finishes with very mild tannins and long lingering flavor of earth , like autumn leaves on a forest floor. — 6 years ago

Skyler Bolster
Needs a second to open up. Originally I got lots of earth, mushroom, damp forest. Some fun umami in there too, but honestly, it wasn’t my favorite.
I gave it a couple of days, trying it periodically and vacuum sealing it every time, and by the end of the second, was surprised. I still got forest floor and umami, but also these beautiful strawberry candy like flavors. Lots of fun to see evolve, and not too expensive. Body is medium, as is acidity, and the tannins are pretty mellow once it opens up. — 4 days ago
