Moussé is known for its Pinot Meunier yet this is 100% Chardonnay from a vineyard that was not well suited for Meunier due to the particularly deep soil. I found this to be a delight with lemon-lime citrus of tremendous precision. Minerals like it was San Pellegrino and a long finish. More chiseled than rich. So refreshing. The nose is mushroom, damp soil with some asphalt. Brambley Bing cherry, raspberry.
I like the fluidity. Good structure with cranberry type acid. Medium body. Black cherry, more raspberry. The finish is supple and quick.

First Chablis ever. Awesome to taste this expression of Chardonnay. Lots of apple notes. Ton of minerality and acid when chilled, as the wine comes to temperature morphs into more complex, richer that paired well with beet and ricotta agnolotti. Can’t wait to try another. — 5 years ago
