Vintage 2009 | a true to type Touraine, certainly not a middle of the road wine. Made from 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Cot. Now eleven years old but still with a certain stubbornness, though one can call this character as well ☺️ I put it a few hours in the decanter and then it went well with a porc cotelet and fresh green beans. A smell with cherries, flint, vanilla, a robust taste with only a slight velvet impression. I like these ‘difficult’ wines that play hard to get. — 5 years ago
Smells like chocolate. Very smooth, semi-dry, cherry and berry notes. — 9 years ago
Dixon family favorite. Works well with all wildfowl and King rib. — 10 years ago

High acid. Medium in body. Love #chalone fruit. — 4 years ago
This Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet is vinted in a different style from the Michauds’ other offerings. It has medium tannins, just enough to give it a slightly chewy structure. Pepper spices greet the palate up front, followed by bright blueberry fruits. The finish has a touch of creaminess to it. — 6 years ago
This is a beautifully polished single-vineyard Washington wine. It is extremely big and polished, with lots of bright red ripe currant and plum fruits, a silky mouthfeel, and very restrained on the oak. This wine will impress your friends. — 7 years ago
Love this one! A touch sweet and very mellow. — 8 years ago
The label is impossible to photograph. This is the Michaud 2010 Pinot Blanc, Chalone Appellation, The Pinnacles National Monument, Monterey County. Creamy, rich & fairly complex, reminiscent of vieille vignes. Color is darker than most whites. Notes of honey or honeysuckle, peach and green apple. Unusual, very interesting yet drinkable. — 10 years ago
Just tried the Michael Michaud 2002 Chardonnay! Super interesting. A little bit of sherry and tawny port characteristics. Still fresh, though and feeling more balanced that the heavy 2010 I also tried that day (Sat). — 11 years ago
This is a truly impressive cocktail wine. I understand it is Cabernet-dominant, but I believe I can taste a nice amount of Washington Merlot in the mix. It is all the things I love about this region, bursting with dark cherry and currant fruits, but smooth on the mouth with that wonderful earthy tannic structure so peculiar to Washington. I can literally serve this to oenophile friends and they estimate it at $50 to $100 a bottle. This wine is a steal at this price. The wise ones among you shall endeavor to purchase as much as possible! — 6 years ago
