Love this. Delicious dark fruits with some funk to go with them. — 5 years ago
My, is this gorgeous. Reads very much like a Chinon on the nose and makes an excellent case for the variety in Stellenbosch. But as intellectually satisfying as it is, it’s a sheer pleasure to drink. — 6 years ago

Lafarge is doing great work here. Nose is closed but still so pretty. Kinky raspberry, smoke, granite, and very floral. Roses and violets. The palate is so delicate with great grip and intensity. Juicy and complex with outrageous fruit and structure. Sappy and pure with lovely cherry/cassis fruit that is super precise. Such a lovely pitter patter of tannins on the finish. Really well made wine. — 6 years ago
I had to carefully decant this, as it had a lot of that light, floaty sediment that starts zooming around if you even look at the bottle the wrong way. It’s got a light color, and loads of tangy cherry/ berry fruit, accented by a musky floral note and some stony minerality. In the mouth, it’s quite fluid and gulpable. Bone dry, but with nice pure fruit and lingering minerality. Deceptively complex. — 7 years ago

Very stern and closed on opening. With air, there is some nice cherry fruit, medium body, good structure. This seems to be built to age 10+ yrs rather than for early enjoyment 🤷🏻♂️ — 2 years ago
