Delicious light red that’s perfect chilled. Packed with flavor yet really light and wonderful. Had for the first time in Paris and just found at a local wine retailer for $16. One of my new go-to reds. My wife, who rarely likes red wine also enjoys this. — 8 years ago

Cornas is & always will be one of my absolutely favorite Appellations in whole France. What a stunning showing from Frank Balthazar. The nose shows a beautiful melange of lush dark cherries, smoked meat, violets, crushed stone and a hint of thyme. On the palate this guy is so well balanced with a beautiful integrated acidity. Very round, fine, long finish with a lovely "graphite" touch on the back end. Can play with a lot of different food. Worth every damn penny. — 8 years ago

One of my Fav’s! Look for these 2 words on a Champagne Label-Récoltant Manipulant, Grower makes & markets Champagne under their own label, from grapes exclusively sourced from their own vineyards and processed on premises. Fruit/floral bouquet, w/chalky minerals. Fine bubbles, nice mousse, showing quality. Outstanding rich flavors of peach, lemon and honey, well balanced, good structure, creamy. Finish with toasty oak & mineral notes that lingered. Very consistent quality. — 7 years ago

Great with oysters, crab and shrimp — 12 years ago
Surprisingly light, turbid ruby with garnet rim. Fresh aroma of carbonic, sour cherry, violet, green olive; slight reductive funk. Slight spritz, light body (13%), thin in mid palate with high acidity, moderately high chunky tannin, prob skin and stem, and refreshing bitterness. Very pretty. Day 2 - spritz gone, acidity medium — 7 years ago
