A very serious rose. — 9 years ago
Excellent in a difficult vintage — 10 years ago
Take a ride to funky town. Peppers and cream, body of a California Chardonnay with the headspace of Chablis and it's a Sauvignon Blanc! great minerality. — 10 years ago
'08 His fantasy names are Lithuanian cuz wifey. This one explains limestone w/ chalk n it shows up in your mouth, a whole bucket full yet bright as light. — 10 years ago
Procured from Le Caveau in Chamblee, GA. One of my favorite bottlings of Sauvignon Blanc, this cuvée has yet to disappoint. Good flavor display on the palate with a nice acidity which drives everything home, cutting through any fat. Refreshing. The 2013 vintage was not quite as precise as my experience with previous vintages, but for Les Monts Damnés that's simply faint praise. Worth a buy, absolutely. — 11 years ago
Surprisingly light. It starts with a floral overlay - it's there then dissipates into a light finish and then gone. Any easy drink — 11 years ago
Light straw yellow with grapefruit and earthy aromas. On the palate clean, crisp flavors of sour apple and white flesh fruits with overly expressive acidity with a slight sweetness. On the finish this dry wine lingered nicely with some mineral tones. Elegant. — 9 years ago
I opened this on a Saturday and by Thursday it was really in its prime with an beautiful honeyed texture /aroma. Oxygen is really something eh? — 10 years ago
Apples, honeydew melon, lemon rind, and freshly cut grass on the nose. Crisp, medium-bodied with a touch of minerality. — 10 years ago
Ultra-dry and austere on the palate. Not much fruit, a lot of acidity up front, and absolutely none of the "green" notes that you might typically associate with a Sauvignon Blanc. Great minerality and very complex, almost abstract. This is unlike any other Sancerre that I have had, but I can say, without hesitation, that it is my favorite of all the many Sancerres that I have had. Serendipitous and wonderful. — 10 years ago
Yummy! Tangerine and a little tangy. Really unusual for Sancerre, but great . — 11 years ago
2008, Francois Cotat, Les Monts Damnes Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc. Brought this one back from France in 2011. Has aged well, no signs of oxidation and is still vibrant with lots of citrus. Screaming acidity, med alcohol and a long finish. Lots of grapefruit, lemon zest with a little orange blossom, white pepper and fresh cut grass. A little minerality on the finish. Need to find a 2011.

Saturday afternoon enjoying this Sancerre Pinot Noir Rose beautiful peach in color.
The nose is very expressive in red fruit, lots of strawberries, peach aromatics, vanilla with nice wet river rock.
On the palate I get under ripe strawberry, sour peach with a very prominent minerality.
There is a very long finish, clean and fresh with medium + acidity. A very nice summer rose. — 9 years ago
Fabulous with risotto a la trudge Moore du Perigord — 10 years ago
Very nice pear nose with a nice mineral taste. It pared excellently with halibut. — 10 years ago
Notes of fresh stone fruits layered with wet stone and anjou pear. All diving into a racy palate of green apple skins with a perfectly balanced mineral finish. Boulay does not mess around with Sancerre. — 11 years ago
Enjoyed this with a braised pork. Made a nice pairing — 12 years ago
