Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 pours a garnet/purple color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of bramble jam, pomegranate, licorice, black pepper and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This is quite remarkable at 10.5% ABV. It’s nearly sacramental! Perfect over lunch with light fare. Drink now through 2031. — 8 hours ago

Nice gamay with 13 percent alcohol. It is surprising and drinks above its weight class. We had it with a nice dinner but it would be a good wine with a picnic in the country. It has a beautiful balance of red fruit with a note of bitterness that gives it a complex flavor. Would be happy to drink again - a nice surprise! 😎 — 6 years ago
