Opened about 30 minutes prior to dinner but no decant. Served slightly chilled. The 2016 “Blanche” pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. Developing with notes of ripe stone fruit, tropical fruit, nutmeg, white pepper, minerals and cotton candy. On the palate, the wine is dry with lower acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. This is a wine of impeccable texture to match the king crab legs with dinner. Drink now through 2031. — 6 months ago
Bordeaux blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). Dark ruby color with a garnet rim. Aromas of blackberry, black licorice, cedar and violets. Blackberry, black plum and blueberry fruit on the palate with additional notes of vanilla, baking spices and tobacco. Very long, smooth and earthy finish. Velvety tannins and medium-plus bodied. Nicely rounded and complex. Thanks for the bottle, Kase. — 9 months ago

2021 vintage. "Mule Blanche" is Jaboulet's white flagship Crozes-Hermitage, a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne from 40 years old estate vineyards. Expressive nose bursting with white fruit, flowers and fresh herbs. Bright and crisp fruit with mouthwatering acidity and a distinctive minerality. Very long minty finish. Hard to resist now, but should age well. Abv. 13% . — 3 years ago

An Outstanding Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2016 vintage champagne from Mailly in Reims. Zesty and zingy and compelling acidly, super balanced, slightly but beautifully yeasty. Potentially to age another +10 years. Fine bubbles and very elegant and crazy smooth. — 5 months ago
