Tasting at Moore B. Owner couple present but didn’t speak, looking uncomfortable. Great line up though. Nice light bodied lively red Burg with emphasis on cherry notes. From a figure thin long plot that’s le diut — a year ago
Nice Burgundy wine, rather light. A nose of tangy red fruits typical of Pinot Noir (raspberry, redcurrant). Wonderfully conducted vinification, bringing slightly woody aging notes. The body is full, harmoniously blending primary and tertiary notes. The finish is developed, nothing more.
— 5 years ago
Broad, sappy and almost Nebbiolo-like on entry. On the palate, it becomes pure class...the way that Savigny in the hands of masters (Bize, Rollin, Cornu) always does. Taut, mannerly and entirely 2010ish. Years to go, but just fine right now. — 6 years ago
NYE burgundy taste off cont’d. Fuller body vs Savigny-les-Beaune, a bit darker fruit #moorebrothers $38 — 8 years ago
Tasting at Moore B. Owner couple present but didn’t speak, looking uncomfortable. Great line up though. Interestingly the last wine in lineup after the 1cru. Well apparently this was the original parcel from Christophe‘s family before the marriage and combo. It’s a heavier footed wine with more robust profile on the palate and earthier nose, distinct from all the others. Parcel on lower ground by the roadway and known to produce more robust Pinot. Bought as contrast. — a year ago

Always a multi-day opera with this one:
Day 1: Luden’s cough drops, dill, coriander and pickling spices. Whiff of boiled weeds. And this is a fruit day. And the wine is clean as a whistle, tender and tempting. If you’re an Enderle fan, none of this sounds even remotely odd.
Day 2: Rancid strip mall Peking Duck, MSG straight out of the box, and cabbage boiled in a cheap aluminum pot. Wretched.
Day 3: The most tender, pure and clear cherry aromas and flavors, reminiscent of Tollot-Beaut or Cornu Chorey-les-Beaune of the 1980s. A long, palpable finish of immense, chalky minerals and vibrant acids. Extraordinary. — 6 years ago

Blackberry, boysenberry. Taut, crunchy and firm enough for balance. Tannic note on the finish. Pure class and a good value. — 6 years ago
This 2011 is a pleasant surprise... with bottle age, some roasted white mushrooms, a metallic or flinty note (tiny bit of Brett?), some whiffs of a rustic cellar... all very slight, and mostly complementary to the tart cherry, raspberry, and almond flavors. Terrific for 2011. With a little air, even tastier. SommSelect Spring 2018. — 7 years ago
NYE tasting day 1! Burgundy taste off. Not much on the nose, cherry fuller finish. #moorebrothers $36 — 8 years ago
