Domaine Clef De Saint Thomas

Château Le Boscq

Cru Bourgeois Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Chateau has a long history in the Saint Estephe appellation, dating back the 18th century. Chateau built for Thomas Barton, AKA Chateau Leoville Barton, in 1955 it was purchased by the Dourthe group. Dark crimson with berry, spice and earthy aromas. On the palate rich flavors of layered berry fruits moving towards jammy, complex fine dry soft tannins needing more time, opened up after 45 minutes. Lingering finish, nice acidity and balance, nice, recommend decanting. — 9 years ago

Les Saint Georges Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2005

Decanted for an hour to start. Yeah, hello Burgundy. Earth, cherry, fallen leaves, and tea jump from the glass. Definitely bigger due to the year, and not as soft and beautiful as the Thomas last night, but it's got the hallmarks of what I look for in burgundy, especially the tea and dirt! Well balanced, really silky tannins that are still very present...bodes well for much more development in the future. Really enjoyable #burgundythursday — 10 years ago

Saint-Aubin Chardonnay 2014

Like Chassagne and/or Puligny but don't want to drop the change for a bottle then St Aubin is your wine. Some of the characteristics of both for much less money. There is still value in Burgundy! — 10 years ago
