This is easily one of my favorite boutique wineries. High altitude vineyards producing deeply tasty and still balanced wines with an extremely long finish. The nose is strong with nutmeg, sandalwood, black fruit, talc, white pepper, and wet red earth. Palate is rich with medium + acidity, slightly rustic tannins and plenty of fruit notes. Finish brings out a vanilla and dill note over an egg albumin (raw egg white) texture. Excellent wine. — 11 years ago
One of the nicest pinots from this valley
We stopped at lots of Anderson Valley wineries that day and this was by far our favorite — 11 years ago
It's interesting to see how some wineries have to market themselves. These guys are maybe trying a little too hard (the wine comes with mustache wax if you order it online). Putting the gimmicks aside, we have a very solid, crowd pleasing wine here. Creamy and rich with vanilla and a slight toasty-ness. Lots of cooked down raspberries and fruit. A bit over extracted but balanced. Anyone paying for prisoner or a fan of the California style should give this a ride. — 11 years ago
Delicious !!!!!! Shared by Bob Moore from Epiphany wineries Los Olivos — 12 years ago
Drank this wine from one of my favorite little boutique wineries. I normally avoid sauv blanc since the whole cat per acidity thing turns me off. This wine has fantastic tropical fruit with guava and pineapple notes. Really nice wine. — 12 years ago
This has held up well. Still has some light dusty tannin. Great color. Not amazing, but a nice with meatballs. One of my favorite under the radar Paso wineries. — 11 years ago
Truly fabulous, fruit forward, big taste, a fine blend that's explosive from one of Paso's best wineries!! — 11 years ago
Very good Pinot from 2012 Santa Rita Hills around Santa Barbara. Foley has many wineries and is a high quality producer. Owns Merus and Chalk Hill also. Nice spice and vanilla flavor on top of cherry fruit — 11 years ago
I really wish more wineries did 1/2 bottles. Beautiful Cabernet! — 12 years ago

One of my favorite wineries outside of Santa Barbara — 13 years ago
I've been loving Ojai for so long. This producer has to be in my top 10 favorite Cali wineries, no question. — 11 years ago
Another spectacular Cabernet from my favorite wineries in Napa. Had the 2012 vintage with some young Gouda an it really sets it off. Stil, it's a bit young in my mind and would be fantastic in a few years. Definitely standouts in my mind as one of the best cabs I've had in a while. Wonderful fullness with soft and integrated tannins. And layers of black cherry, blueberries and coca dance around your tongue as it is sipped. Gonna have it with some awesome authentic german goulash. A perfect finish to a nice day in the South Bay. — 11 years ago
Sampled it the other day. It was a good example of wine from one of the older Australian Wineries. Currently cellaring this bottle. Should be great in about 8 years. — 11 years ago
One if my new favorite Paso wineries. — 11 years ago
Never disappointed with Coppola wineries. Great Pinot noir. — 12 years ago
A spectacular wine from another one of my favorite boutique wineries. This one sits high up on Mt Palomar in San Diego county. The wine is dark and shows lots of fruit with nice cherries on the nose. Long finish and easy to drink. Nice. — 12 years ago
We love Silver Mts wines. Yet another Bay Area. Best kept secret. No need to go to Napa, the Santa Cruz Mts wineries are amazing! An added bonus about Silver Mt is their sustainability practices. — 13 years ago

This full bodied and spicy Syrah was a hit yesterday on our stop to a couple of Temecula Wineries. I normally am not drawn to many of the reds at Longshadow Ranch Winery, but yesterday was an exception. So much so that we ended up buying and drinking 3 bottles! — 11 years ago
