Cool label. Classy. James Suckling gives 93 puntos, must be good. Nice color. Deep ruby color. Smells meaty, juicy and dense. Flavors are similar. Plenty of extracted berry stuff. Deep and complex. Even with 9 years of bottle age there’s still a lot of youth in this #rioja #riserva 100% #graciano. Purple/red fruit on the nose, a touch reticent. Active on the palate with lively acidity and tannins continue to build with each sip. So youthful I’m eager to try the 2001 vintage of from this producer that I bought recently. — 3 years ago

Color of dark purple, looks thick. Nose of dense dark fruits, like currant and blackberries, some chocolate, some vanilla, a touch of oak, and some more woody cedar. Nose is not bad. Taste of ripeness, with dark fruits plus matured tannins, oaky note, some ripe grapes, a bit tobacco leaves and minerals. Some tiny refined sweetness too. Aftertaste shows some vanilla, spice, clean and enjoyable. Nice one. — 3 years ago
