YUM. Fruity start, smooth middle, and a syrupy linger on the tongue. So drinkable. It's really fruit and more ish. At £10 it's well worth the money. — 5 years ago
Black cherry compote for days....thick in the mouth. Consumed over ninety-six hours and, impressively, barely budged. — 5 years ago
01/19/19- Had at blind wine blind party. Got #2 out of 7 red. Tasted good. Good finish. — 6 years ago
On the nose; bright red & dark fruits, dark currants, coffee roast, boysenberries, blackberries, dark dry cherries, heavy black plum & black raspberries, limestone, dry herbs, dark rich soil, the core of anise, tobacco leaf, graphite, dry stems, mixed berry cola, black tea, violets, lavender and dark mixed fresh floral bouquet.
The body is full. The tannins are big & sticky. The structure and tension are big as well. The length and balance is nice for a wine this young. Very dark currants, coffee roast, boysenberries, blackberries, dark dry cherries, heavy black plum & black raspberries, limestone, dry herbs, dark rich soil, the core of anise, tobacco leaf, loads of graphite, leather, wood shavings, underbrush, dry clay, dry crushed rocks, mixed berry cola, black tea, very light baking spices, soft dark spice, fresh violets, lavender and dark mixed fresh floral bouquet. The acidity is round & beautiful. The big, long finish is elegant with palate sticky tannins and goes on for minutes. This one will be even better with another 12-15 years in bottle.
Photos of, the barn where they make wine and host tastings, the staircase that leads to Williams old office and showcases that late 1800’s architecture...now a private tasting room, dining room for small events & tasting and a very old piece of equipment converted into a planter box that decorates their grounds.

A really good Heathcote Shiraz. Needs a year or two to develop. — 8 years ago
Soft and subtle tannins, higher acidity, dark cherry, chocolate, plum and slight baking spice notes. Great one it’s own, or would be good with food — 3 years ago
Cherries and tannins and berries, oh my! — 4 years ago
Very smooth with oak and dark fruit notes. Went great with my ribeye. — 5 years ago

Crisp CH, not overall Oakes. Stone fruit notes and citrus finish — 5 years ago
Divides opinion but I thought this was super interesting. A touch of oak, vanilla and cherry on the nose, almost cola-esque. Bright fruits. Cherry & strawberry transforms into an almost Syrah-like depth with fine tannins. Exceptional. — 7 years ago
Absolutely delicious and silky. Amazing flavours that keep on evolving. A top top white wine for sure! — 8 years ago
This might literally be my favorite red. Had to remind myself it was wine and that I needed to sip and savor it. Notes of berries, dark chocolate...no oaky taste....just the right amount of sweet- and tartness. — 8 years ago

Clean, crisp and flavorful - a bit riper than Chablis but very much a cool climate Wine; this has green apple, green pear, acacia, flint and wet stone, and a bright bit of herbal greenery in the background. There is more body here than in Chablis with a hint of creaminess on the palate. Really enjoyable, a food-lover’s wine. Grilled lobster, steamed shrimp, fried chicken, the possibilities are endless. — 3 years ago
