This is the special 2004 Naima 'Peter Willburger Settembre, 1994 dal cicio 'Le Coste' aquaforte, puntasecca carta giapponese' Hand delivered by Bruno when my son Asher was 3 days old in March 2009. Bruno is living classic Italian History... You can meet him, hear about the philosophical beauty of Cilento or drink this perfect bottle that is more towards the feminine aromas of aglianico with demure tannins and a Capello acidity...in love and so excited to capture this moment of this bottle.. ❤️❤️❤️ — 9 years ago
The 2014 Mattaison Napa Valley Rosé is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Counoise from the Windmill Vineyard. I love this wine because what it communicates is restraint and tensile minerality as one would find in a good Provence rosé. Delicate floral aromas, slightly underripe white peaches, and white hand soap lend dimension to a lithe frame that has a subtle and demure touch of creaminess in the background. White plum skins and pie cherries crescendo before slowly unwinding. 11.2% ABV | Sample — 10 years ago
2002 Vintage. This wine was ever so slightly off, but you could see the beauty beneath it. A bit of funk and pinesol (not necessarily a bad thing), with more passionfruit and orchard, instead of apricot. Some slightly reserved spice and a touch drier than I was expecting. All in all a very beautiful, but demure wine. — 10 years ago

Eminently drinkable with a demure, thought provoking side. So incredibly versatile and straight delicious. Ripe and perfumed, I could drink this every day and be superbly content. — 8 years ago
Rather smitten with this. Sniffed and nursed it for ages. A little tame when first opened, before some very attractive orchard blossom floral notes emerge, with some tropical and stone fruits. Only about medium bodied and the mineral element - a clean, pure mineral water character, complete with suggestion of spritzy liveliness - almost seems to keep the fruitiness demure as it builds and extends through the long palate. And the fruit is beautiful - pineapple, peach and lime, crisp and fresh. — 10 years ago
Fresh, lively, beauty. Barely there tannins. This lady is demure n sssssoOooo elegant. — 10 years ago
Got that green pepper Cab Franc nose that I am not a big fan of but it is still delicious, a little more robust than a demure French Cab Franc — 10 years ago
Riesling like it should be. Round yet precise, exotic yet demure. #christoffel #riesling #mosel #germanwine — 10 years ago
It's not demure. Vibrant gold in the glass with an impeccable mousse. The nose is intense and admittedly a challenge to describe. Lemon zest, candied orange peel. Lemon tart or lemon curd. A sneaky high note of menthol and I swear just slightly, pleasantly oxidized. On the palate tart apple, pear but mostly the verve of it hits you. Salinity, crushed shell and minerality. It's incredibly lush and at the same time, focused. Subtle note of almond paste on fine, long finish. Wow. — 11 years ago
Lewis Cellars Napa cabernet sauvignon 2012.
Opaque dark purple with a darker ruby rim than you'd expect. Expressive nose of candied and lacquered red and black fruits, sweet earth, tobacco and beautifully rich oak. The palate is where it displays it's grape. Full tannins (even at 5 years old) with the pyrazines subtly dancing in the background of the oak.
The wine is a wonderfully balanced experience that is both forward in what it wants to show you and coy and demure with its secondary aromas and flavors. — 8 years ago
WOTN, tasted at a recent Wines of Alsace media dinner. If ever there was an example of a pitch-perfect Pinot Gris, surely it is this, the 2013 Ostertag Vin D'Alsace Fronholz, a lively dance of lanolin, honey, quince, dewy pear, fruit and stony minerality. In the mouth, it's fresh with a kind of nuanced complexity and twinkling acidity that is rare to find in this demure grape. Seafoam and lilting citrus notes tumble forth at the close. 14.0% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago
Floral, pear and lemon spritzer, marzipan, ultra-fine mousse, good length. Delicate and rather demure all around. — 9 years ago
Tasted together, the 1983, I'm told was the better vintage. After 32 years, that sentiment still holds true. The aromatics have developed into a demure and perfumey elixir of dried rose petals, forest floor, spearmint, sassafras, and allspice. Its brickish in the glass, the color of worn leather, and yields intriguing, atypical notes of wild game, sultana, dried blood and iron ore. Knudsen Vineyard blocks are seated on iron-rich Jory soils, is it possible that this is the evolution of Pinot grown in this soil type? — 10 years ago
2008. Serious vintage, serious wine. One of the last Russ Raney wines. This estate vineyard and the material here is unfadeable. The pendulum swings from Oregon elegance in 2008 to tannic, brooding PN that makes any Pommard demure. Seriously though- get a bottle or two of this. — 10 years ago
A bit demure for my taste. Well made, no disrespect. Sourced from Garagiste at a great price. — 10 years ago
Understated and showing much less sweetness than I expected, seeming to be more demi-sec than a dessert wine, though it was hard to tell how much of that is from acidity keeping the sugar in check. Subtle, demure, and incredibly nuanced, it deserves long contemplation and would be fascinating to study on its own over the course of an evening. — 10 years ago
Thanks again to Lyle Fass! Another great value. Fruit is there, but it's demure and not in your face. Balance is awesome with acids and tannins in great proportions with fruit. — 11 years ago

Very elegant, almost demure expression of Carignan. Tightly wound and aromatically closed right now, but I really love the subtle attack and medium weight. Moves around the palate with great energy and nerve. Hints of vanilla and sweet cream coming through on the nose. Cherry pit and mineral edge showing up after some air. Elegant wine with loads of potential, but drinking a bit backwards today. I’m glad I have two more bottles for the cellar. — 7 years ago
