Must confess to not being a huge fan of Champagne but when it is as good as this then bring it on! Pale gold in colour with a very fine mousse. Citrusy lemon almond toasty notes with a chalky minerality and tingly acid. The president of Salon/Delamotte says the ideal time to drinkSalon is at 20 years and here is the 1996. An exercise in precision and in a word magnificent. Aussie election night - result still undecided. — 9 years ago
