Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2023 pours a red-salmon color with a moderate mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of mostly ripe fruit, similar to confected strawberry and raspberry soda pop. On the palate, the wine is off-dry with medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and has some nice minerals too. This is a ridiculously easy quaffer. Drink now. — 6 months ago

Nose of over ripened apples, citrus, light red fruits, spices, minerals, yeast and brioche.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and small bubbles.

Dry on the palate with strawberries, sweet raspberries, cherries, citrus, apples, yeast, light earth, brioche, spices, minerals sea salt and herbs.

Long finish with apples and herbs.

This is a delicious Champagne. Elegant and rich. Fruit forward and easy drinking. Complex and interesting.

100% Pinot Noir grapes.

We opened this beautiful Cava, the 2020 Ravantós i Blanc Conca del Riu Anoia Extra Brut Cava Rose. From Catalonia Sant Sadurni D'Anoia, Spain. A blend of 44% Xarel-lo, 39% Macabeo, 12% Parellada and 5% Monastrell.

On the nose is strawberry, lemon, white peach, lime peel, almond and a bit of minerality.

On the palate there is strawberry, citrus, lemon, lime peel, tarragon, hazelnut, yellow apple and minerality.

This wine is medium bodied with an onion skin color with a bone dry mouthfeel medium + to high acidity that leaves us with a long fresh citrus wet rock finish. At $23 you can't go wrong. The 2022 Rosé Chinon opens with a pretty blend of sweet spice, young peaches and freshly shaved pine. This is soft and round with a bump of zesty acidity and minerals that add tension. Ripe strawberry and melon tones wash across the senses. The 2022 finishes with decent length and a pleasantly chewy sensation as un tea and candied orange hints fade. Yes it is a Rosé but i stand by my points/rating. Brought from Münchweier in my suitcase to the US. It was a gift. Very hard to find - the winery in Baden/Germany - really - forget - your maps! Right next to the woods of the black forest. Dark for a Rosé and age worthy. Excellent always but especially this vintage. Rhubarb, Strawberries, Quince, Peach (underripe), pomegranate, bitter orange. Tannins from the skins. Who knows were Florian found these old vine Pinot Grapes. Together with Mark Enfields Rosé the best in the world right now and I assume long sold out! — 4 months ago
