A little shy compared to other young roulots that I have tried — 8 years ago
Sonoma coast Pinot. Not a shy wine, full bodied and very smooth. Tuck Beckstoffer offering. — 9 years ago
A bit wound up on nose, still smoky with fresh blackcurrant and elderberry, pine bough, tangy orange and tobacco leaf. Very woodsy, but also quite shy...palate is hugely mineral and mouthcoating, touch of spice, monumental and fresh, long length. No doubt quite excellent, but not showing its arsenal today...wait 5 years at least if you have such patience! — 9 years ago
deep and shy... — 11 years ago
This wine matches His personality: big, loud, thoughtful, provocative, crushing. Nothing shy about this one. — 7 years ago
Candied lemon peel with baking spices. Not shy with the French oak. Balancing acidity. — 8 years ago
Sweet, after taste is good, smooth, would try again. — 8 years ago
A perfect Red for those looking to expand their wine from sweet whites like moscato...there isn't that dry kick back you get from most reds...this one is a sweet wine with a grape juice texture to it... — 9 years ago
Very shy at first while showing its earthy side. However, this was the only of the three wines for dinner that elevated itself with cuisine. Took about two hours for voluptuous fruit to come out. Definitely the elegant side of Brunello — 9 years ago
Dried fruit. Raisins and plums dancing in oak. Med body and alcohol. High acid and lingering finish. Nothing shy of amazeballs. — 10 years ago
Having failed miserably at our 2015 new years resolution to drink up our aging cellar faster, we're glad we still have some of these around. Shy at first but then becoming fuller in the glass, this was an excellent hamburger wine tonight. With Alex in Oakland 12-17-2015.. — 8 years ago
Another one from my favorite winery. Had a more memorable tasting with the Dakota than the Montoya, but the Montoya offers a punch in the face bold cab that's hits like a Bordeaux — 9 years ago
Shy citrus nose. Citrus and apple favors. Lots of stones/flint. Excellent acidity. Long finish. Still young. Great wine, now priced beyond reason in my market. Glad to have several bottles still stored. THIS IS DIDIER NOT SERGE. — 9 years ago

Delicate perfumed nose - almost precious. Maybe too shy for me. — 7 years ago
