Big fan of this wine. Beautiful bouquet of earth, black berries, and cedar. Very nicely balanced, with sweet black cherry, tar, and moderate tannins. Long finish. This should hold for another 10 years, but seems to be in a sweet spot right now. A great option while waiting for your 2010's to mature.

Great wine! Little no no acidity. No indigestion after drinking. Light tannins with a wet finish. Flavor is good despite the alcohol nose with little alcohol taste. Good deal at $4 from Kroger. — 9 years ago

Loamy and somewhat medicinal/herbal aromatics. Fruit petty much gone. Nice resolved tannin coupled with complementary acidity. A pleasure to try a 50 year old wine that still had some life. — 11 years ago

My first viognier with some age on it. Major coconut cream pie, with other stone fruits as supporting cast. Still noticeably high alcohol, but maybe because I usually drink fairly low alcohol whites. Interesting and tasty wine. — 7 years ago

Can’t drink 61’s and not include Latour! This was a treat but shows at 50+ years there are no great wines just great bottles. This had the floral nose I remember of roses and dried fruits l, but was a little thin and missing it’s vibrancy I remember from he last bottle I had a year ago. Still an amazing treat and very grateful for the guest who brought it. Wonderful. Dr. Latour approves! — 7 years ago

Beautiful honey-amber color in the glass. Nose is a little hot with airplane glue and spice. Palate is much softer, still warm though with oak and loads of vanilla and spice. Nice neat, better with a few drops of spring water. — 10 years ago
