Ordered this at the Opinicon, Chaffey's Locks, Ontario on August 1st, 2017. It was a very nice wine much what you would expect with a Carmenere, medium bodied, not too spicy and no overwhelming tannins. Enjoyable and went well with my salad and gourmet pizza but not remarkable enough for me to seek it out again. — 9 years ago

Probably the best Syrah in the world at this price point! Truly deserving of the Decanter world wine award! Smoked Meat & spice, violets, black pepper and beautiful blue and black berry fruit with a light handed touch in the winery. Not quite as good as the '10, but still smoking! — 10 years ago

Sticking with the pinot's I have opened the 2013 Tabali Talinay Coastal Limestone Vineyard Pinot Noir from Chile.

On the nose there are beautiful fruit and complex notes of cherry, cranberry, raspberry, floral notes of violet, vanilla, light oak and an earthy component.

On the palate a wonderful notes of cranberry, raspberry, cherry, forest soil and a bit of minerality.

This is a medium bodied wine with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that leads to a lovely long crisp finish with good fruit right to the end. It just doesn't seem to want to quit and it will carry you right into the next sip. I am totally into this wine and may have to go and purchase a few more bottles. Intense lemon color, straw glitters. 
Charming bouquet of melon, biscuits, soaked apple, pineapple, peach, grass. Nutty nuances and white flowers. Minty whiff.
Palate is crisp, concentrated and textured. Medium+ body, distinctive minerality and pronounced acidity. Pomelo, white currant, rhubarb, green apple, pineapple flavors.
Tangy long lasting finish of green apple & lime, touched by sea minerals.
