Very good. Smooth and full taste.
Good for spicy or meaty food

Enjoyed with a good steak. Full flavors developed after being open an hour or so. Smooth tannins, balanced acidity with the beef. — 7 years ago
Honestly a great wine hiding behind a kitschy label. There is a ton going on in the nose. Fantastic long finish with enough in all the right places. This one had something special I can’t quite put my finger on. — 7 years ago
2011 vintage. Very fresh, light- to medium-bodied blend. High-toned, red fruit-driven with that Carignan herbal quality. Cranberry, red plum, pomegranate, raspberry, fresh sage and tarragon, tobacco, tart cherry. 56 Carignan 28 Mourvèdre 9 Grenache 6 Syrah 1 Zinfandel. — 8 years ago
Concentrated and elegant. — 9 years ago
Old school California style field blend, with lots of ripe, wild dark berry fruit but none of the jamminess and oak to screw it up. Really delightful. — 10 years ago
Very fruit forward. Earthiness to balance that out. Very nice first couple sips. — 11 years ago
Sweet, fruity, mild spices that sustain. Holds its own — 13 years ago
A delicious Zin. Neither too spicy or sweet. A great balance. — 6 years ago
128-yr. old vines. Super-rich, but I wish they had picked a bit earlier. This winery sources great Zin fruit from unique historical sources but they’re always over 15%. I cant help but think the wines would be more interesting and flexible if they picked earlier. In any event, this is quite good and shows very ripe Zin character, but the acids are low and the effect of some bottle age is a flatter mouthfeel. Still very good. — 6 years ago
Lots of sweet berry. Realty good — 7 years ago
The nose on this is scrumptious, and it tastes as good as it smells. It was our favorite tasting at the Cline family cellars. — 7 years ago
Light bright Cali zin — 8 years ago
2012 drinking very well. Blackberry chocolate, a little stone fruit around the edges; satisfying. Fine tannins at the right level of grip. — 9 years ago
Bad Break=good break for my taste. Awesomely big with raspberry/black cherry and hint of mint. $37 at the winery. — 10 years ago
Fresh and well balanced. The best of the lineup IMHO. — 11 years ago
Smooth yumminess in a glass. — 11 years ago
Fantastic, delicious, slight raisin/fig in the finish (beautiful & delicious), tannin needs 3 years; sprite woody, will mellow nicely. — 6 years ago

Punchy straight away, nicely dry and good fruity/spicy flavour — 7 years ago
Michael Cruse’s wines deserve more recognition than they receive. His single vineyard bottlings are spectacular. His style is lean, fruity, and a dedicated employment of whole cluster press.
This Evangelho Carignan has a deep purple color in a medium, full body. There is bright blackberry, oak, and sandalwood. Intensely concentrated, on the serious structured side of the spectrum for the Cruse portfolio. — 7 years ago
Refreshing flavors and aroma of strawberries and pineapple 🍓🍍 — 8 years ago
(2015) Pleasantly peppery, not overly sweet for a dessert wine, dark, almost port-like. Paired well with sea salted dark chocolate and a rooftop picnic view of San Francisco. — 9 years ago
Nice full body, dry but not overly so. One of the best cabernet sauvignon wines I've had. Paired excellent with gourmet burgers. — 10 years ago
This 1997 Cline ZIN was unbelievable!! The age has perfected it! — 10 years ago

Natural Zinfandel recommended when I asked for something not as tart. Slightly mushroomy / peppery finish, very enjoyable. Purchased from Gemini Bottle Co — 6 years ago
