Such expressiveness, high-toned aromatics, extremely young yes, but I've always loved this "commune" wine, vine age does so much for this wine, excellent stuff. — 9 years ago
2010 en 2016. Côt dit tout ce qu'il peut. Pas le plus épicé qui soit, mais d'une élégance peu commune. — 9 years ago
Said my 14-year-son as I decanted this wine and let him take a sniff: "It smells more than any other wine I ever smelled before!" The notes of red PN-typical fruits are really intense and interesting, and, on the one hand, the wine delivers hints of horse-stable and earth, and on the other hand, has a lovely sensual perfume; the mid-palate-dominated wine has soft tannins, a northern-Rhône-like "meat-savouriness", and a rather short finish that nevertheless reveals potential for developmemt. Some new oak is evident on the palate and alcohol seems higher than the restrained 13% indicated. The La Justice commune-appelation plots are located northeast of the Gevrey-Ch. village. Will try again in 2018 (and then I will remember to play the same recording of The New World Symphony as today; music & wine is as important as wine & food to me). Had with gruyere and spanish ham cut from the hiney of a pata negra acorn-fed pig. — 9 years ago
Well structured and smashable, much like my ex girlfriend. — 10 years ago
Delicious sparkling Malvasia made at a commune/rehab commune in Emilia-Romagna. Those folks made a fun and way too easy to drink bubbly. Way to go hippies in recovery! — 11 years ago

2012 vintage - we had this Swiss wine from the Lavaux last night with grilled sausages. The spicy gaminess of the Gamaret - Diolinoir blend went nicely with the meal. — 10 years ago
New producer for me. Really pretty and sappy. Not as serious as most offerings from the commune. The '10 lust continues. For now or later. — 11 years ago
Giving absolute credence to the reputation that the wines from the Margaux commune show, both displayed an elegance allied with a subtle power and perfect balance, especially 2005.
2000 had a trace pyrazine note that I found unexpected, and quite frankly not that enjoyable. Outside of that the wine was perfect. The second bottle did not throw it as strong, so not exactly in the clear on this night.
The 2005 was in perfect shape, drink now or age it another 20 years easy, this was so enjoyable and balanced with perfect tannin integration and a seamless, dense and pure finish that sailed on forever.

2009 en 2016. Magnifique Tannat d'une élégance peu commune, sans rondeur ou fruit trop prononcé malgré le millésime. À ouvrir quelques heures à l'avance, et à ne pas boire trop frais ! — 9 years ago
If you want to take a "trip" back and chill with some great friends who live a long distance away, then crack this Gewurtztraminer. The nose is inviting with peach & lavender. The mouth continues to explore the ripe peach fruit forward wine. Just enjoy...peace out! — 10 years ago
Absolutely divine little blend of Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris sourced from the ever so promising Basket Range. One of the more smashable drops you will have for the year. Cloudy and Juicy in appearance. Prominent Gewurz making itself apparent early with a touch of the sweetest of spices and a big hit of Rosewater and juicy plum flesh. Crisp acidity and a slightly zippy mouth feel. The palate delivers with delicate violets, rosewater, white plums and pink lemonade, never would've picked any Gris until a tiny finish of pear. Can not go wrong in the slightest for the price if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one. Enjoyed with some spinach gnocci — 10 years ago

St. Estèphe, literally a stone's throw from the more prestigious Paulliac region, while not topping its sister commune by any means certainly holds its own. Huge initial notes include cassis, black currant, and anise followed by some of the largest tannins I've tasted in a wine this young. Great wine from a lesser well-known commune. 💥 for 💵 — 8 years ago
