Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner is a 4th generation winemaker from a family with farming and winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot almost looks like a Cab) with aromas of ripe berries and spice notes. The palate shows rich black fruits, blackberries, plums and black cherries, vanilla spice, cedar and cacao. Rich soft tannins, firm acidity on lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Nice! — 8 years ago
Fruity and smooth. Nice for a dinner wine — 9 years ago
Wow, real knockout stuff. This is not domestic Muscadet - there's not much in common besides the grape. It has the bright, pure fruit but it is put together in a much fuller style, more like a white Burgundy (minus the oak) than Muscadet. I don't say Chablis because while it's an intensely mineral wine and cranked up to 11 in that department, it's not a marine minerality. The mineral element here is volcanic (and so is the soil), bringing to mind all those cliches about aromas bursting from the glass and so forth, and it's every bit as driving on the palate. — 10 years ago

Screw top at Stan's from Roots. Has kick! — 13 years ago
I still love this Pinot but the 2011 was amazing I drank at least a case. It does not have the same feel seems more heavy with darker fruit notes. — 8 years ago
I really like this one. Very different- crisp and sweet without actual sweetness. Very cool. — 9 years ago
Nice clean Shiraz. Strong flavour profile of mainly medium fruits rather than the common dark cherry or blackberry common of Shiraz. Good wine and very good value. — 9 years ago
Very dry, mild tannins, hints of caramel/umami in the body, crisp finish. No coarseness — 11 years ago
Boise. Great wine. Delectable didn't save. Don't remember comments. :-( — 11 years ago
The Osteiner grape is a German grape variety created from crossing of Riesling and Silvaner. Despite its German roots, Rippon is perhaps the most notable producer of this variety. Nose of lemon, lime, ripe melon and white fresh florals. On the palate, fresh, clean, round and brilliant. Beautiful acidity, lemon, lime, melon, stone fruits, pear, fruit blossoms and citrus peel. Another photo of their amazing view and owner Jo Mills with my wife. Jo is such a great host with amazing passion and energy for making great wine. — 8 years ago
A lighter nose with a palate of cranberry, strawberry and a light zesting of orange. A darker, deeper rosé with a long fruity finish. — 9 years ago
Slightly sour, wonderful flavour. Light to medium bodied. Would be good with strong cheeses. — 10 years ago
Notes of dark cherry, cocoa, leather,, tobacco on the nose, tannin developing, a little tight, nice but some what thin mid palate common in 2011 vintage, nice finish. — 10 years ago
Kind of like an indie band you discovered but is getting major label buzz. Still true to their roots. Fantastic. Actually better that I remember.
