Mature bottle golden color nose of white flowers stone fruits and some oxidative nutty notes mixed with earthiness. Almost unctuous texture and complexity with hints of being on edge of oxidation on palate. Excellent with seafood Easter meal. Absolutely extraordinary. A wine that deserves to be ranked amongst the absolute top tier of Champagnes. 100% CH, 3gr RS, blocked MLF and 57 months on the lees. The wine is acting like a symphony as it’s stepping up and reaching the crescendo. While being sharp and linear it’s also rich and complex with a dynamic development in the glass, everything balanced in a symbiotic relationship throughout an everlasting finish. Don’t be afraid to serve this in a Burgundy glass. — 8 years ago

Thanksgiving day two 11/24/17. Blind tasting vs KS and Collet. Ranked last? On day one though very good on its own. Actually better when blinded on day two. From Wils. — 8 years ago

Thanksgiving day two 11/25/17. Blind tasting vs nytimber and Collet. Ranked blinded as equal to Collet on day one but last on day two. Remarkably all the tasted even better on day two but this one improved hardly at all. Still a great value. — 8 years ago
